A lovely place for lunch, great for gluten free. The food was freshly prepared and very nicely presented. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Highly recommended whether you’re popping in for a brew and cake or want something more substantial there’s something there to tempt!

I KNOW a damned good cup of tea (my gene mix of Irish & Yorkshire combined with Steampunk gives me great credentials in this) and this is highly recommended by me. Husband had a black coffee (An Americano for the cofficionado's) made on a proper machine with fresh ground coffee. The sandwiches are freshly made to order with awesome ingredients & a bread to suit every palate & even GI if you need it. I was full after mine so didn't get to try the cakes this time but I will next time. The menu has hot & cold choices to suit every palate & need. The staff are amazingly friendly and as attentive as you'd want them to be without being at your elbow every second. Hygiene is awesome, yet they welcome Walkers AND DOGS! It's across the road & up a flight of stone steps from The White Lion. Don't miss it on a visit. We'll be back.

My friend and I enjoyed a peaceful break here towards the end of a Saturday afternoon. The service was very good and the tea and cake were delicious. I would like to go back sometime for a lunch or afternoon tea!

This tearoom behind the farmers market is well worth a visit. A great choice of gluten free options. I was told anything on the menu could be adapted to gluten free. There was choice of cakes, not just the obligatory brownie. You get a warm welcome and chat (if that's what you want)

We went to these tea rooms for a hen party on Saturday - The couple that own the place are amazing; so friendly and knowledgeable - They even allowed us to have a little prosecco! All of us said that is was the best afternoon tea we have eaten (tastier than Betty’s of Harrogate!) Next time I am back from the USA I will be sure to make a trip! Thank you!
