A regular customer to this cheerful, long established, consistently excellent cafe. The full English breakfast this morning was particularly superb. Thank you.
Staff are lovely, very classic older style little cafe. The prices are slightly higher than I would expect to pay in this more dated type cafe with basic items but they were accommodating to changes and attentive.
Coffee was lovely, can't fault it, and the cakes are definitely homemade and look delicious, will try next time.
The best traditional home cooking I've tasted in years... using good quality ingredients cooked in an old fashioned method. No preservatives! No shortcuts . This food wouldn't be amiss on a Michelin menu. Well done ladies . Ps reserve a table. This place isnt a secret. I had homemade plate steak pie in a beautiful pastry crammed with big chunks of steak and extra gravy in a boat as standard. Then the best lemon and raspberry cake which was fluffy and moist and huge ! .I returned for breakfast again just fab .. thanks I will return when I'm back in the area
How nice to have several vegetarian options instead of just jacket potato. Lovely apple pie 😋. Perfect dog friendly outdoor space and friendly service. Will definitely go again. Since this review, we went again and were turned away as not serving outside that day. We had travelled from Withernsea but as dogs weren't allowed inside we went to the Chatty Couch, where the dogs and I were made most welcome. Sadly won't support Nutmeg again.
Beautiful home-cooked very high quality food, From teacakes and scones through to full meals, served in old-fashioned tea-room surroundings ie in their garden seating area. Truly wonderful cakes and the best Sunday lunch around. And the staff are lovely too!
A big thank you to Jane for a delicious afternoon tea. Everything was beautiful, home made and so fresh. Too much food but enjoyed by all. I can recommend Nutmegs and will certainly be ordering and visiting again. Well done.

Yet another perfect christmas lunch. The food is excellent, well cooked and plentiful. Staff are friendly and helpful plus we finished off with two floors singing carols. Already we are booked for next year.
Best place for a cooked breakfast in the area! Good quality ingredients, butchers sausages and proper fried bread! Both my daughter and I really enjoyed our meal and will be regulars from now on
