Was served by the tall dark haired girl, I think she must have been the manager - if she’s not she should be because she was outstanding. However the ed Sheeran looking guy on bar was hostile and standoffish, would have felt unwelcome had it not been for the waitresses efforts to make us feel at home. Our waitress seemed to be running all over the place to ensure we were all seen to, seems like she was compensating for the lack of effort from other staff and very impressed with her ability to run the place seemingly single-handedly. Impressed with the food, but there appears to be a lack of leadership on the floor, with the red haired guy openly making efforts to undermine our waitress, which made things uncomfortable for us. If it hadn’t been for her it would not have been a 4 star review.

Second time here in as many weeks, mussels to start then crab tagliatelle , both delicious, we sat in the sun with our meals etc watching the world wander past. I've said it before and will say it again, if you haven't tried Riva for lunch/dinner you're missing out, obviously depending on your palate, we have been twice and eaten different food and all have been delicious and huge(we couldn't finish again) service was really good too, the staff really do try their best to please you.

Moules Mariniere to start. A good portion of Mussels served in a delicious sauce with a slice of bread on the side. A very tasty dish which was also good value. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara as a main. It wasn’t too creamy, but it tasted nice with plenty of Pancetta and topped with Parmesan. 2 courses for £13.50 was excellent value for money.

Went in here for lunch during a little birthday outing with my sister - what a great find. Lunch menu wasn't extensive but not a bad thing (in my opinion) and had something for most tastes. Great fresh food, good sized portions, great prices, friendly staff and lovely relaxed surroundings. Ticked all my boxes. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

My husband and I booked a weekend away for my birthday and we could not be happier with our choice. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious, with every little detail covered, from Netflix on the TV to the umbrella in the closet. The dinner was exquisite I had the scallops for starters and sea bass with risotto for my main which was all cooked to perfection. We then started the next morning of with a delicious breakfast in bed as we listened to the record player included in the room. I would highly recommend Riva to anyone looking for a reasonably priced weekend away.
