The coffee is always consistently good. Today though, nobody challenged a man in the queue who was not actually wearing any kind of shirt! It is unacceptable to enter a coffee shop with no shirt.
I like this coffee shop, it's warm and friendly. However it was a bit difficult to find a seat as there were coffee cups and cakes on tables that hadn't been cleaned so it was difficult to see if a person had vacated the seats, but finally found one and had a nice relaxing coffee.
GREAT HIDEOUT FROM RAIN!
We nipped in here to escape the West of Scotland's version of monsoon conditions, without any trace of warmth in the rain/wind. That warmth kicked-in when we went through the door . The restaurant hadn't scrimped on the heating and the place was lovely warm. Whilst it was kinda busy, the very friendly and attentive staff were working any small queue really well. Delicious hot rolls and sausage, good sized coffees with a carmel shortcake chaser, and the day started to make sense again. Costa, you should be rightly proud of your Helensburgh staff. Well done!
