First time I had been there, staff were extremely polite and friendly, food was lovely, mentioned I was wheat free and Shannon the waitress came back with a separate menu, they had thought about everything having a gluten free menu was amazing also will be going here again and would definitely recommend to people

Just had a lovely meal here with my wife. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks, the service, the ambience and the decor of this quality establishment. We will definitely return soon. I can HIGHLY recommend the cheesecake . It is homemade and quite honestly the best I have had in years (my steak was amazing too) Many thanks to all who work so hard here so we can enjoy a premium evening meal and drinks like this. 👍

Really can't fault the Sunday lunch at the Hornsmill. Crispy skinned, deliciously soft belly pork. A good selection of nicely cooked veg. Crispy roasties. Justifiably popular and busy, but service was prompt, thoughtful, and efficient. Definitely recommended. Full menu was on offer and based on our experience of Sunday roast, we will definitely be visiting again.

We came here for a good Sunday roast, and were not disappointed. It has a lovely comfortable and cosy country pub feel, and is located close to Chester, frodsham and delemere forest. We both opted for the dual meats roast (Turkey and beef) which is as delicious. It came with Yorkshire puds, gravy, roast potatoes, red cabbage, green beans, mashed carrots & a good portion of meats. Good portion sizes, very tasty & good service. We also had the chefs desert platter (£15.95 for 2) which included a range of their deserts. Again, these were good portion sizes and very tasty. Only feedback would be for more custard and less eton mess as it’s very rich. All this came to £58, and was well worth it. Would happily come again and highly recommend to others.

Decent food, and easy to get a table. I had the steak and ale pie and the brownie for dessert. The steak and ale pie could be imporved upon, and i was hoping for much better for the price. The chocolate brownie was lovely and moist. The service was quick but lacked refinement. Would be nice to be shown to a table rather than just pointed in the direction of the dining room.

I have visited here on Sunday's recently - the roasts are the best in the local area, everything is fresh, great portions and fair prices. The staff are all welcoming and attentive. Its also got a great wine list. Keep up the great work team!

Beautiful restaurant. It's really big with lots of seating but arranged so it feels quite intimate. Lots of choice in the menu, and food was beautiful when it came. The staff were so lovely; attentive but not invasive, friendly, very informative . It's also dog friendly which I'll remember for next time!

Lovely welcoming pub restaurant, and I've given 5 ☆ based on what I'm sure it usually is. They squeezed 4 of us in last minute on a Sunday at 7pm and it was so busy. They'd run out of some veggies. We ordered a steak, 2 x roasts and a game stew. Staff were lovely, but food took ages to arrive. The table that arrived 20mins after us got their food first, so when we queried it they said ours was next on the pass. The steak was well overcooked, but since we'd waited so long it was eaten and they offered to take it off the bill without question. The roasts were lacking veggies (we'd assumesd we'd get more of a different type since they'd run out of others, but they'd just given extra roast potatoes...which were gorgeous, but I can't eat mash plus 5 roast potatoes....I just wanted veg. Plus the chicken roast was meant to be half a chicken, but they'd run out so said it'd be a double breast - I wasn't, it was a single breast butterflied and was dry. But I'm confident the issues were just because it was so busy, so late on a Sunday and we were a last minute addition. Would definitely return as the food was delicious
