We recently visited the pub whilst camping near by, popped in to get lunch and a couple of drinks. Expecting the usual pub food, but we were blown away, I haven’t had ribs that good in years and the fish and chips was perfect. Friendly bar staff and locals. Definitely coming down here again just for the ribs

This is an absolute awesome place. Sergio (Rescue and adopted) is such a gentle soul and the food is simply to die for. Sunday lunch is amazing and with our larger dogs we sat and ate in bar area happily.
The atmosphere is so welcoming with locals happy to chat and advise on places to visit and Geoffs/Jeff's cutting wit has been a real bonus to our break.

On Holiday close by. Fantastic little place, very welcoming and the food is amazing.
Landlord and all staff very friendly. Loved chatting to all the locals too 😊. We have two dogs, one being a large German Shepherd, both our dogs made to feel welcome, water for dogs provided and Sergio the pub dog was introduced to our dogs in a lovely manner. Sergio so chilled and relaxed.

Incredible food!
My partner and I are staying nearby with our 10 month old and booked the night before for Easter carvery.
We arrived at midday and was offered drinks straight away before sitting down.
The carvery was served by the staff and their "large" was more like an XXL. The food was incredible. Everything was cooked to what I consider perfection.
You could see that there were regulars who came, most people knew each other by name and the chef ensured that he came out and spoke to everyone.
At the end our bill was paid promptly and I was shocked how cheap the bill came to for 2 meals, drinks and dessert.
Would recommend to anyone staying nearby.
