Stopped in for a bite of breakfast. A bit late maybe, 11ish. Food didn't start until 12. I ordered a traditional coffee, like gpa would have, sat and read until the sausage and mash came. Next to the coal fire, it was all very good. Staff was excellent, friendly and accommodating.
We went here for lunch, and had a lovely time. The landlord is a great guy and super friendly, and bought over a printout with the history of the pub since I was busy taking photos. Which I thought was very nice of him.

We took my daughter and her American boyfriend here, while they were staying with us. They wanted a traditional British pub. The landlord was such a nice chap and came over to have a chat and welcome them to England. We didn't have food but would definitely go back there. The beer selection was good
We only stopped here for a quick pint and I must say, the hospitality of the Barman was absolutely top class! The establishment is very cozy and inviting! and the pint was just perfect 😋
