Never a bad experience from here, food freshly cooked to order and a decent price too.

This was always my Mums fave place, before she passed, and as it would have been her birthday, I always like to get these from the best Chippy in town, even if it is a cross the river from me.
Yes it’s a bit pricy, but the quality is leaps and bounds above the others. Chips are always fresh, and the batter always crispy with a flaky moist cod inside.

Excellent food, mostly freshly cooked to order. There is a good outdoor seating area where you can order food and pay by card using the machine, or you can order inside and pay with cash.
The menu is varied, so there is something to suit most people.
If you can't make it to the shop, there is always the option of ordering on line and having food delivered.

Amazing fish and chips! Nothing else to add, the fish is perfect and the portions are generous. I advise to go for the cod with regular chips with salt for the first timers.

Update Feb 23. Edwards plaice has had a refit recently. It's cash at the counter and card payment via the machine out front.

Wow, after a long journey to Hereford intending to eat at the Grandstand, the kitchens were closed, was pointed in the direction of Edwards. Well what great fortune as we enjoyed the best fish and chips in many years, mums a retired chef and believe me for her to give a compliment it must be good 😆
