Jalsagor Restaurant

Absolutely love the curry's from here. We usually get a takeaway but thought we would go in this time. Really nice clean place with excellent service 👌 I always have the Nepali Lamb curry which is very hot and has good flavour. I really like hot food and asked if they could make it as hot as it gets (apparently it was a fahl x4🔥🔥🔥🔥) I ate the lot!! The chef and the waiter couldn't believe that i did this and said it was the hottest curry anybody had eaten in 10 years at the restaurant. I was quietly proud about this and could of gone hotter. Highly recommend this place..

I took a group of 24 Seniors from our golf club for our annual Christmas Bash. Known as the Billy NoMates Old Farts Curry Club we start at The Barrels opposite and then on to The Jalsagor. We visited on Jan 31st as we had to cancel our christmas booking due to Covid19 Normally we would be hosted by John the owner but this year it was by Ali and his excelllent staff. Because we are such a large group, I took menu choices for all guests and gave this to Ali as a pre-order along with a first choice drink on arrival. Everything was perfect. Ali took control of the service and The staff were very attentive and polite and nothing was too much trouble. The main meals were served quickly after the Pompadoms and Pickle trays (which you will not find better anywhere) and everyone enjoyed there meal choices - which was very varied. I have eaten in a lot of Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants and The Jalsagor stands head and shoulders above the rest. The food and the way it's presented is wonderful. Reasonably priced and spotlessly clean in a good atmosphere and surroundings. I would give Ali and his staff a 10 out of 10 for the food and service on the night. I thoroughly (and my 23 NoMates) recommend The Jalsagor for your Indian/Bangladeshi meal experience. Brian C. - Hereford

My wife and I just polished off a truly delicious curry from this restaurant. Everything tasted fresh, chicken was clearly well marinated and tender, and the sauces were excellent. Generous portions. We're both stuffed. Arrived at ours piping hot, well packed and on time. 10/10 I'd happily recommend this restaurant.

My Mum and I had an amazing dinner at Jalsagor yesterday evening. My brother recommended the place as it’s his favourite restaurant in Hereford. The service was outstanding and our meals were absolutely delicious! Mum had the king prawn saag and I had the best Chicken Tikka Masala I’ve ever tasted. Thank you to Jay and all the staff for a wonderful evening.
