We were served by a really nice chap. We both had a burger and chips, the burgers were really quite nice but the chips, absolutely dreadful, they had been reheated, dry and tasteless. If it had not been a takeaway I would have sent them back.

It was ok, will be back. the barmaid today was ignorant and obnoxious i asked for a smaller head 2 week's ago, now I'm getting ignored, then my change is put on the bar, I've not got a problem with moods, it's my local! Am I now going to have to go to town for a drink?

Just had the most amazing steak at this place. Myself and gorgeous wife was staying at the granary 2.5 miles away and tried to get a meal around here (Hereford) cant believe how many places didnt serve food or was out of food on a SATURDAY! the golden cross inn gave us both one of the best meals we have had in a long time. We do many cruises each year and the food on those ships, I dont think any one can touch, but this pubs meal was one of the best. The Chef is worth his weight in gold. We did ask the barmaid to let him know how happy we both was with the food, the quality and value for money was great.
A local village pub at its best.

Possibly the most friendly ‘random local’ I’ve had the pleasure to frequent.
The staff and the locals are super friendly and helpful, and the beer and food is well kept/presented and fantastic value for money. I shall one day return.
And the comedy noise that comes off one of the beer engines never failed to make me chuckle.🤣

Welcome was great, lovely pub, nice staff. Food menu gave good options and the all tasty. I had the hill Billy burger. Really nice. Well presented. Simple country pub food. Enjoyed with some nice pints of lager, a game of pool with step daughter. Will see you guys again soon

Played pool here last week. I've not visited this pub before, but it seems a very nice place. The food looks great, the staff are very pleasant also. Haven't tried the beer as I was driving. It's definitely a pub worth visiting. 👍👍
