Fantastic atmosphere and right next to railway line. For any train enthusiast it's nice place to go. Trains are not often and only 2 cars long (dmu) so also good for the ones who really are not into trains.
It's very peaceful and quiet place in between beautiful scenery which you can see in attached photos.
Can't say nothing yet regards food quality as I was a bit late and they were only serving drinks at that time.
Coke was definitely something that need improvement (ratio/mix of coke from barrel with water was very wrong, felt like I was drinking water with 5% of coke flavour). Can't say if it was one time off and maybe because of whatever reason or they add more water than coke to earn more whole spend less. I will visit them again and try one more time. I will definitely update this review regards coke ratio from tap and food quality.
4 stars for now but will reconsider after next visit

Lovely pub, with really good food. The specials board is well worth ordering from, and I ate possibly the best Bakewell tart I’ve ever had for pudding. Will be coming back again for sure!

Fantastic pub we got recommended by a friend to visit , and our anniversary seemed like the perfect excuse after a wonder around queenswood park. Food couldnt be faulted was lovely homecooked proper english pub grub with a touch of class. Staff were attentive especially as we had a 1year old intow - james i think his name was; was very kind trying to help keep out little girl entertained with colouring and susie the pub dog. Decor was spot on and there big beer garden set looking on the passing railway line makes you feel like you could really loose yourself in a pint in the evening sun here. There covid measures where on point and made you feel very relaxed and welcomed. Highly reccomend and we will be returning again soon.

Lovely quiet evening, first visit. Excellent food and homely atmosphere. Staff couldn't have been more accommodating and Paul the owner was very welcoming and easy to engage in conversation. Only thing missing is the pub dog!!!! Will definitely return and highly recommend a visit to those considering.

Small Camper Van Stopover.. This is a great country pub with a small level field next to the river for campers to over night.. Road and Drive are small and steep hence small campers. They are close Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. but you are still made welcome to park. There is a water tap. The toilets are only open when the pub is open.. You are only welcome to overnight as long as you use the pub, only fare.. I go back to this pub loads of times and now feel like i am part of the place.. Big thank you to the landlord Paul and very pleasant staff.. food is outstanding

Four of us went for Sunday lunch. We had x2 roast pork and x2 roast beef.
Firstly, the staff are excellent. So friendly and polite. The service is quick but not rushed and the food took no time at all to arrive. We were given some chilled water for our table and all our food arrived together.
It came on hot plates and looked beautiful. My pork was tender, stacked in the centre with a huge homemade Yorkshire pudding, cider and thyme gravy -divine, and two large sticks of roast parsnip and four crunchy roast potatoes.
The beef looked just as impressive, tender and slightly blushing, not fatty, same vegetables with a beef gravy.
We had side vegetables straight away, a lovely dish of creamy cauliflower cheese. Then, for once, a perfectly cooked plate of mange toute, green beans, carrots and broccoli. I would normally forget about the side veg, but it was cooked so well, I ate some of everything.
We were asked if we wanted sauces and I had apple and the others had horseradish. Then we were given a boat of extra gravy!
I would say this has been the best Sunday lunch I have ever had, when eating out.
The whole experience was excellent. Service, staff and food at a lovely venue with awesome views.
I wish them all the best. They know what they're doing.
New owners who have only opened the doors in October. Can't wait to see what's next!

We've now visited on 3 occasions and each time has been most enjoyable, Paul and his team make you most welcome. The fish and chips is the best, chips just right, home made mushy peas divine. Fresh made beer batter light and crisp. Highly recommended. Wonderful views over Herefordshire a bonus.

Beautiful location, great real ales and dog friendly - so PERFECT for us! Didn't eat this time but food looked amazing and dining area was very busy so will definitely return to sample some!

Good food, great view (especially if someone in your family likes trains) and a lovely host.
