Just popped in for a quick pint and felt most welcome. Great beer selection and lots to see decorating the walls and ceiling. As a modelmaker it was nice to see some 'Airfix' kits of Spitfires and Lancasters hanging from the ceiling; the latter being connected with the pub's name. Great little pub, entertaining locals.

Brilliant place if you like beer and people. Superb micropub just up the hill from the front. Named to commemorate the Dam Busters' bouncing bomb designed by the remarkable Barnes Wallis that was tested in the Thames Estuary nearby.
Everything a micropub should be- great beer and warm welcome
Serves decent real ale.
