We read very mixed reviews about the service at this restaurant but decided to ignore the bad reviews and I’m glad we did! We had a delicious, authentic Turkish meal with very attentive service. It was the best meal of our holiday in this area! But be warned, if you order mains they are quite pricey. We ordered one main and 4 starters between 3 of us (as we’d been told by friends that they give you free bread and salad) and it was still a bit too much! Absolutely lovely food, especially the boregi for starter and baklava for dessert. In opposition to many TA reviews the service was excellent for us (around 6.30pm on a Fri evening). There were lots of big groups arriving and it was very busy as we were leaving, so I’d suggest booking on the weekend.

Lovely restaurant, the food is freshly prepared and presented very well. Super tasty and plenty of it. Staff and friendly and quick. The food arrived promptly too. Beautiful venue with lots of seating options. Great understanding on Gluten Free too!

Always the best food here, with views facing the sea. We had the Lamb kebabs, imam bayildi and vegetable moussaka and they didn’t disappoint. Would definitely return again and again just for the views!

As Vegans it can be difficult when away somewhere new to find restaurants that have good Vegan options. A La Turka is absolutely wonderful! The food is absolutely delicious, plenty of choices and the staff are extremely helpful with options. Cannot wait to return!

Amazing food, my first experience here was outstanding. The second visit was just ok. For some reason they decided not to bring out the complimentary bread with dip which they did last time whilst we were waiting for food. I asked the waitress who said she would bring it out with the main meal, which doesn't make sense. Please serve your customers the bread with the garlic dip like you always have whilst clients waiting for food this really is a highlight. For me anyways.

Visited on a Friday night, cannot fault anything! Manager was lovely, changed our booking time without an issue. Food came out so quick, I was shocked! Every thing was amazing! Good quality good, cooked perfectly. Nice atmosphere, opposite the sea which is also a bonus. Will definitely be back ☺️

Wow! Just wow! Booked a pod for a birthday event, very clean, very well furnished, staff where every attentive and quick. Food came out fast and was delicious. Big portions, very tasty. A birthday drink was brought out with birthday music playing- we were all made to feel so special this afternoon. Will visit again cant recommend enough.

Me and my wife visited this restaurant last Wednesday. I have to say first impressions were fantastic. Very welcoming, clean, mordern, spacious, organised and the atmosphere was great. The team all carried smiles too.
It was our first visit to the chain so was excited to tuck in and explore the menu. Even though it is a little pricey to be honest we were not disappointed with the choices and quality of the food. Their portions are very generous so you can choose to be smart with your food choices to share and bring cost down. With the individual choices we chose there was plenty. We could have easily broke it down and felt fulfilled. Ivana our waitress was brilliant. She was attentive and knowledgeable. We did notice a minor issue with another table but the way she dealt with it was extremely professional. It is a great location on the seafront and amazing especially on a warm summers evening. There are tables and igloos outside. Highly recommend and will be visiting the other restaurants in the very near future.

Nice location and atmosphere. Food was good except for one item which was very disappointing in size and quality. I did let the server know but there wasn't any apology or move to rectify it. Such a shame. But other than that, all was good. (Lambs liver is recommended...but add some lemon to it :) )

First visit with our dog skittle. Waitress was really lovely brought water for Skittle as it was boiling hot day. The lunch menu was great value. The Falafel starter with salad and pitta bread was beautiful. Followed by Lamb Kofta and Chicken shish. Again so much food and beautifully cooked. The lunch was £20 for two dished £25 for three. Glad we only had two no room for third. Highly recommended.

We went to A la Turka on our first day in Herne Bay for brunch. I had the halumi salad and my partner had the Turkish breakfast. We also had koftas on the side. All were yummy and the plates were more than enough to fill us up after the 3h journey. The food comes with all the trimmings you would expect from a good turkish restaurant. The decor is beautiful and sitting "outside" you have great viewes of the ocean with the planters giving you a feeling of privacy from passerbys. Prices were great for a place that feels upscale. Cocktails were also delicious.

Food was lovely when we eventually got it. Table at 6pm, main course arrived at 7.50pm, all except one meal because they got the order wrong so one of our party had to eat their main course alone after everyone else had finished. It took me hunting out the manager to make a complaint to get any kind of apology. Price of late meal deducted but that wasn’t really the point when we had gone for a family meal with people travelling 65 Miles. It seems a recurring problem from what others say, maybe more staff are needed? Food good but service let’s them down

So we booked a table 3 weeks ago for our anniversary tonight. I even put on the reservation that it was for our anniversary. We arrived before our booked time to be told we could either sit outside or sit at the only table for two crammed in next to the ice cream machine and next to the bar. It was cold so we opted for the inside table but within a couple of minutes we were crowded by bar staff and couldn't hear each other speak. Another waiter could see we weren't happy and offered us a table outside which we accepted on the condition that when another table inside became available we could have it. The food and service by the second waitress was fantastic but not once we're we offered a blanket or the heaters on even though everyone around us were offered blankets and I had previously mentioned that I didn't want to sit outside as I felt the cold. By the time you got halfway through the food it was cold. I appreciate that some people like to eat outside and that is there choice but we weren't given a choice it was just assumed we would want to sit outside. At one point we were surrounded by 24 people waiting for there table to be made ready and we were made to feel that we were in their way. From the whole experience I have assumed the bigger the party the better the service. It's such a shame as we were so looking forward to a great meal and experience but we left upset and cold. I'm afraid to say it ruined our anniversary. I hate to put a place down but even with us complaining we wasn't listened to and we're just left to get on with it.

I can’t compliment the staff enough they are very kind and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. One of our mains was missing, my one, but it was ok the waitress was so apologetic but it was dealt with as quick as possible and the end result was delicious! The meat was so tender and meaty!! The bulger, salad and bread were perfect to accompany the chicken & lamb. Everyone from our party of 9 were happy and full!! It has a lovely atmosphere and the decor was to die for!! Would definitely visit again to try something else!!

Had a meal here on 19/1/18, there were 25 of us for my Mum's birthday, The food was amazing, staff were lovely. Friendly and welcoming, lovely atmosphere. The only negative for our group was how the tables were laid out for us, some of us had to have our backs to the rest of the group.
