The Cookhouse

Highly recommend. Great food and fresh, the servers are so kind and welcoming we have been there twice now and have come out pleased each time. My family came down from London to eat hear and loved it as well. Nice to go to a place that takes dogs can be really hard sometimes. Clean and fresh inviroment. Keep it up x

Great seafront location with lots of space downstairs if needed. Nice, friendly staff who were helpful and trusting. They made a nice decaf soya latte - which I didn't expect for the middle of Herne Bay! Overall great little find...Plus they welcome dogs :) I would recommend a visit if in the area and hungry.

The CookHouse is a great little restaurant on Herne Bay Sea Front. The interior decor really matched the seaside atmosphere offered by the location of the restaurant. When we arrived, we were seen to very quickly, but I’d always advise to book just to make sure. We saw a variety in waiting staff during our visit. There was a young, blonde girl, whose name I didn’t catch, who didn’t seem too enthusiastic about being there. However, our waiter, Mat, was very opposite. He was a very lovely lad who was very attentive to our needs. He seemed to care about how the restaurant was portrayed to the customers, which I think was just great. He was very welcoming and kind in taking our order and making sure that we were all okay. I had a prawn sandwich, which is unlike me because I’m not a fan of seafood. Regardless, it was delicious and I was a fan. I’d definitely eat there again. The pricing of the food is what I’d expect to pay for a meal out and the menu offers a great selection of meals for all. Would definitely recommend.
