Empire Chinese

As loyal patrons of the old Empire, we were so excited to see it reopen and try it out! So, it is under new management (although it was great to see a familiar face behind the counter!) and has had a revamp. It was very busy so I think lots of others were keen to try as well! Food wise, definitely different style- similar to e.g. Wok U Like with big portions (lots of sauce!) and a bit of a price increase and menu changes. Good for vegetarian options with a lengthy menu. I think we did prefer the old cuisine which was a bit milder however appreciate others will feel differently.

Very good Chinese. Certain dishes aren’t as good as they could be, like the seaweed which doesn’t taste it much and should be saltier, but all round pretty good. I don’t like the cash only way of running as that’s inconvenient when you collect your food and have no cash, especially as they never say on the phone about that. That’s quite poor from them but other than that we do keep going back!
