We visited here while in the area for food. Having never frequented a PCP before, we couldn’t have been more impressed. The food and service was absolutely outstanding. I had the scallops to start and a ribeye for the main. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the steak is one of the best I’ve ever had. The ambience in the site, the excellent quality points driven by the lovely GM , and the friendly guests made this an absolutely fab evening. Thank you so much to Sam, Fran and Ewan for your wonderful hospitality. Also to the back of house team for cooking such amazing food. We couldn’t recommend this premium pub enough. What a great meal today, strangely today I had the vegan option. The celeriac steak, which whilst it was a delicious dish, it was less of a steak and more of a chunk I embellished it with a side of mac and cheese. Starters were the sticky chicken and the goats cheese. SWMBO had the linguine for main. I finished with a Sicilian lemon tart. It has been a good while since we were last here, but we have never had a bad meal here.

This was such a lovely place drove past it many times saying we must try it, so we finally did and it didn’t disappoint. The food was so tasty and the staff were so friendly. Our server Fran was lovely and nothing was too much , our chefs Jon and Graeme cooked my husband’s steak exactly how he likes it . Will definitely be making a return visit x
