Very pleasant local, had a quick pint outside watching the world go by. The service was very quick and with a smile. Atmosphere inside probably not to my taste, but that might have been the football on the tellys. Can recommend and will visit again.

A little gem of a pub! Only been the once but found it cosy and clean with a good selection of beer and lager - does live music and quizzes through the week, would highly recommend 👍

Nice for a quiet drink and a decent small food menu. Sports on the tv. Prices reasonable. Plenty of room. Staff seem friendly and pub was clean and tidy

I love this pub, especially with their new summer terrace its a jam for enjoying the sun with your friends! Thanks to the staff, our experience was fantastic, they were really friendly and kind. Live music, drinks and food are on top xx

Excellent spacious pub, not substantially different from last time I was in, maybe 45 years ago! Redecorated and upholstered so fresh, clean and tidy but not ruined by misguided "modernisation". Super pint of draught Bass and delicious food served by a friendly welcoming barman. I wish it was my local, unfortunately it's too far to walk from Sheffield.

We stumbled on the Black Horse by accident whilst we were walking on the Wirral Way during our recent stay at Wirral Country Park. What a find! . The host and staff were extremely friendly. We stayed for Sunday lunch and I can honestly say that it was one of the best roasts I have ever had. We would wholeheartedly recommend this pub.
