Visited today on passing through Heswell. We knew it was fairly new so as it's a spoons it's always worth a punt. It was a Sunday lunchtime and surprisingly quiet. Lovely seating areas on both the left & right side as you enter. Found a nice quiet corner table and ordered our food. Our Chicken Buttermilk burgers arrived quickly, hot & plentiful. The chips were cooked to perfection, as was the burger. Cannot complain about the food or service in any way whatsoever and my only gripe is the lack of parking but sometimes this is the way of many of their establishments. Certainly will not stop us visiting again though. Also a nice outside eating & drinking area which will be lovely in the summer
Does what it says on the tin! Good value for money and nice environment during the day. Great place to meet up for a coffee....refillable for just over £1, can't go wrong with that! Lots of choice of seating areas and a nice outside space
Really nice venue. Very clean and nice decor. Certainly an upmarket feel but very reasonable prices. Order from the table on the app. Toilets were very clean with plenty of space. Food was good. Chips and coffee could have been a little hotter but that's a minor thing. Overall a really good experience and one that I will certainly repeat in the future.
came here the other day, had the curry and it was magnificent (although it did give me the runs). staff was great and very helpful also. would recommend. would visit again 5/5
As a Wetherspoons, I wouldn't expect anything less, fine decor and clean throughout the premises. Good food and lovely desert at a reasonable price 10/10
Fairly popular for breakfast in a nice and clean pub. Recommend the eggs Benedict. Friendly staff, service prompt, but I think there's a communication problem. When you order 1 bacon on toast, sometimes it's bacon on bread, or 2 servings, or just toast. It adds to the suspense!! In the evenings they do have a shortage of staff at the bar
One of the best wetherspoons I've been to. We went 3 days in a row. They got our orders almost correct every time, with the 2nd day the breakfasts arriving only warm but we asked them to heat them up and all was fine again. We would recommend overall. The bathrooms are beautiful!

Very very very slow bar service. Ordered food from the app which was great and quick. Had to guess the table number as the number tag was missing. Still the best "Spoons" around though and great value.
I liked it , but the parking is an issue especially for disabled person , on entering the outside area is big , but it's a busy road . Inside there are two separate sort of areas for eating on left and on right in middle by bar there are high chairs and tables but the flow is not consistent standing behind people to queue which is not right , there was only two staff on and still had to wait as staff seemed to have to go other areas of bar for cups and ice , on finding table which still had crockery and dishes on should of been cleared it wasn't that busy , the toilets regrettably upstairs , there is a disabled toilet downstairs ,but was monopolised by a group sitting right next to it. Have to say not a good vibe to this wetherspoons no atmosphere
