Stalida Greek Taverna

Following our first visit to your restaurant on Friday night, can I take the opportunity to thank you for the fantastic food and attentive service. Unfortunately, when we arrived, my partner was half way through a migraine attack and as a result, affected the evening. As a result we weren't able to fully enjoy the experience that you and your staff work very hard to create. So, without any hesitation, we will return and make the most of your lovely restaurant. Thank you once again.

We had a meal for 4 of us on a weekday evening. It was outstanding. We had a variety of main courses and absolutely everything was served promptly, it was hot, there was plenty of food and best of all it tasted superb. Not just good, or alright, it was excellent. The service was very good as well. Good communication, good timings in everything, not overly fussy, but very attentive. I genuinely cannot fault the experience. Fantastic.

The food here is amazing! Couldn’t fault it! Everything was piping hot huge menu something for everyone. I had an amazing chicken dish with bacon mushrooms chips and rice the freshest vegatables. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone first time people wanting Greek experience to seasoned Greek experts.

We went here on our last night in Hexham 17/05/23. It seemed that the majority of the seating is upstairs. There were a few soft furnished sofas downstairs but this looked more like a waiting room, for take-aways perhaps. There may have been more downstairs seating further into the building but we only saw a bar area further back. The waitress was welcoming and pleasant and although she seemed to be on her own, she coped very well with a mostly full restaurant. We were not kept waiting at any point and she was aware when people were ready to pay or need further drinks etc. We have only been to Greece once but the food here took us back to warmer holidays, which was pleasant. The food was plentiful and good and we were treated well and we felt looked after.

From the moment I booked the service and communication was excellent, Selena was so helpful. There were 8 of us in the group so we went for the Meze option and it did not disappoint. The dishes just kept coming with so much variety and flavour. I had mentioned my wife didn't eat meat or diary when I booked so Selena asked who my wife was as soon as we arrived so she made sure there were plenty of dishes at her end of the table that she could eat, topped off with a special swordfish dish just for her as well. Amazing food, amazing service and great value.
