Took my daughter for lunch. Very pleasant staff. Lovely food although too much pepper for me in the soup. A tad expensive too but very nice as a treat.

Excellent soup and sandwich combo - soup and coffee served hot, so perfect after getting caught in the rain while cycling. Absolutely hit the spot. Also serve great sweet treats and scones.

Great little cafe in handy location following our work on hadrians wall. We stopped in for a cuppa and cake. All the staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The cakes are amazing along with the quiches and sandwiches ! All freshly hand made. Ample seating and option to sit outside too. We will be back thank you 😊

Called in for lunch and luckily got a table, so glad we did! The staff were all excellent and helpful and the lunch was delicious. Seemed to all be homemade there and all so tasty. Service was good, lovely friendly staff, and they were especially good with our kids, and the kids sandwich box went down a treat, so lovely to see something a bit different and interesting! The cakes were amazing, banoffee pie tasted as good as it looked, but we had to take some home as they defeated us! A great stop, thanks so much!

Really awesome place. Great coffee and fantastic sandwiches (doorsteps) on the bread of your choice. Mouthwatering range of pies & quiche. We stopped for morning roll and picked up a pack lunch. Very reasonably priced and portion generous. There are plenty of tables outside and inside. Good spot.

What a treasure find!
We almost missed this place with the distraction of the big hotel on the opposite side of the road but so glad we spotted it.
A beautifully clean cafe with welcoming and friendly staff and a great selection of food.
We had 2 pots of tea, the tomato & courgette quiche and a veggie melt. The cakes looked amazing and we had a slice of raspberry meringue roulade which was out of this world!
We tried very hard to think how our meals could have been improved and couldn't think of anything...it was that good!
