This is a cosy and utterly charming Tea Room, located in the beautiful rural village of Heydon. It occupies a characterful old building and overlooks the large village green. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and the service is personal and friendly. It was busy when we went and booking is advisable to avoid missing out on a real treat. It is very popular and seating, both inside and out, is limited. We chose Afternoon Tea for two, which included an estimated seventeen different, delicious items each, both savoury and sweet, and unlimited tea and coffee. We recommend you enhance your visit and take a gentle walk round the village and a stroll through the grounds of Heydon Hall (by the kind courtesy of the owner). Summary: English perfection.

Went for afternoon tea on a sunny day and it was perfect!! All the food was incredible, tea room was pretty, staff were friendly and the village was beautiful too. Highly recommend to anyone after a classic english afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings.

My wife and I cycle here quite often, the setting is perfect and the Tea room is fantastic. Brunch today but we often just cycle there for tea and cakes. Really cannot fault the service and quality of the homemade food.

A lovely Tea-room in a great setting. It was recommended to us when we stopped by Cawston Village Hall (which itself deserves support) this morning. We returned here in the late afternoon and had a very pleasant tea and cakes. Friendly staff. Great tee and super cakes!!

The setting for the tea room is a quintessential rural village. A pub, a church, various picturesque cottages, and the tea room. It was very busy, always a good sign, with an array of cakes and pastries to choose from, but also a menu of hot and cold lunches. Service was relaxed, not the quickest, but it's not a setting for a quick turnaround. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit, the food was great, and recommend it to anyone thinking of popping in.

Seriously one of the best tea rooms I've visited. Very busy which was lovely to see.We visited 30 mins before closing, lovely sausage roll, cake and coffee, all were lovely. Had table outside overlooking the green, lovely surroundings. Staff really friendly and helpful. Once again, perfect.👍

We booked for the special Valentine's afternoon tea. It looked absolutely gorgeous and it tasted fabulous. The tearoom was very quaint and staff friendly and helpful.

My first time at this cafe. Lovely setting, quirky period building which is fully shown off to fantastic effect. The menu is not huge, but nothing on the menu I would not eat. Lots of gluten free options including lovely cheese scones which I had with soup. All very delicious. Cakes for afters which again had a nice gluten free options. Staff are friendly and well organised. Totally understand why you have to book. Can't wait to go back

You really must visit! Home made, locally sourced food - friendly staff in a lovely setting. We had lunch and were treated to the most amazing cakes. We especially enjoyed the rarebit, “Nan’s fruit cake and polenta cake. It was so delicious we even bought a whole cake to take away for a family event. Everything is very reasonably priced too. Staff are delightful, without exception, even when busy. Whilst it is a little away from some of the bigger towns, Heydon Tea Rooms has free car parking, and is well worth the visit! Thank you for a lovely lunch!
