We came for a Sunday roast... you were very busy but managed to accommodate us .. Both had Lamb.. the food was very lovely and the staff very friendly .. Highly recommend.. the pub decor was great too !!
My son and I cycled out to the Earle's Arms for dinner and a drink. It was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, perfect for this beautiful summers evening. The vegetarian menu was really good with a lot more variety than most other places we've been to. They even came out to the common where we were lying to give us our food!! Heaven-well worth a visit.
Drinks only, no food. Great little pub with lots of old-world character (and taxidermy animals) in a quaint little village. Loved the candlesticks with wax dripping, beautiful.
An outstanding local pub, very welcoming and well situated next to the village Green. When I visited there was a local (Fakenham) band playing with the village Green full of people enjoying the music and sunshine. The village is very charming and well worth a visit. There is ample parking in a large car park, following the signs as you enter the village.
Quirky but fantastic! Highly recommend the food but be sure to book in advance.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Earle Arms. We've eaten there on numerous occasions and can't fault the food. The staff are always very courteous and patient with a disorganised bunch of oldies who can never make their minds up about what to eat or drink ! A delightful country pub in a picturesque village. We will return again soon. Thank you.
Surprise lunch treat Shared a ploughman's excellent food Staff welcoming & friendly Great service
Lovely time period pub in a great position.will try the great menu next time.
Second visit, 24 05 23 three of us had a delicious meal, two steak and ale pies and one heydon burger, all great and worth a try
Walk in heydon a delight , permissive walks kind aapproval of the owners.
Situated in the picturesque village of Heydon lies the Earle Arms. Which is a quintessential village pub.
It has remained unchanged since the 16th century and it's all the better for it as well. The pub has been used in various films and TV dramas in it's time.
The bar is small but perfectly formed and is lit by candles. It is also dog friendly but, you need to tell them in advance.
Dinner is served 4 nights a week and lunch 5 days a week. I didn't get to try the food but what I saw looked amazing. Daily fresh sea food, steaks, The food is seasonal so will change accordingly.
They have 4 incredibly well kept beers on from two Norfolk breweries and 5 scrumpy from the barrel. Plus, their own pilsner and national beers on draft.
Sitting outside is a must in the summer, you can watch and hear both swallows and swifts diving over the green.
Definitely well worth a visit if you're in Norfolk.
After extensive drinking eating and so on at various pubs around this perfidious Albion of ours I would say with some experience that this place is just the absolute business, the little village of heydon is just the loveliest setting , on holiday this week we as ever visited the Earle arms for our umpteenth anniversary and the staff had put us next to a gorgeous open fire and laid felt hearts on our table, we had a lovely meal which was as ever to die for. We liked so much we booked again for the next night and to hell with the expense. Try it you won’t be disappointed and if you are of the easily disappointed type stay at home and polish your toilet amd hoover your cat, but leave this lovely place to those of us who appreciate and recognise perfection when we see it . Top marks and thanks atmospheric
Partner and I had our first meal at the quaint little pub and was impressed with the overall quality and portion size😍 One of the best meals we've had for a while too.😋 Will will be coming back very soon to try out your other dishes 😁
A lovely little pub tucked away in the village of Heydon with some unusual beers on tap too. I believe they do Sunday roasts too.
