This was a brilliant experience. I wasn't expecting much for the price but was surprised by how pleasant the hotel and room were. Thanks Dave (landlord) for your friendly banter and welcoming ways.

Called in for tea on a friend's recommendation. Found it was "Pie night" So we both had Steak and Ale pie . There was a slight wait as the pies were being freshly made . They were excellent and great chips too . Would highly recommend.

We had a meal here yesterday . Ten adults ,one toddler and two babies were seated swiftly , nothing is too much trouble for the staff , Dave is a pleasure to natter to , and the food was superb . Most of the adults opted for a lunch time special which was pie chips peas and gravy . All freshly cooked and of a high standard . The value for money offered was superb , especially with a free dessert with the specials .

Restaurant service was great, girls worked very hard but still managed to have a chit chat. Did not get the owners name but he was very friendly with funny little quips. We did have to wait 40 mins for our meals but we were informed before we ordered so we had the choice, they were very busy. Really enjoyed our meals. Will be going back to try the carvery.

Stayed here Friday night. Staff were lovely. Our room was nice. Everything you needed and very clean. No cooked breakfast in the morning. But what was on offer was ample ( cereal toast, tea, coffee and fruit juice)

Touring the area, astonished to be told in a Brigg pub that they stopped food at 7pm! But this pub gladly fitted me in on a busy night. A local at the bar told me “Don’t worry. This is good!” He was right. Pot-cooked chicken was absolutely delicious and when I complimented the very nice staff the young chef even came out to thank me! He was asst chef there before going to college and returning as head. Good luck to him and the friendly bar staff. Pleasant unspoilt feel to the interior too.

Really good food. Great pub with plenty of space and tables inside including a pool table.

Food and service were lovely. Simple nicely decorated room and quiet relaxed atmosphere. Little remote pub well worth a visit.
