I can see why this place has such a good reputation. The food was incredible with ginormous portions and the dessert trolley is what foodie dreams are made of! Great customer service and lovely atmosphere

We come her every Christmas as our pre Christmas treat. We've never been disappointed. Exceptional food and service. Freshly cooked locally sourced food. David is a great host and makes sure you want for nothing. Highly recommended

Friendly and welcoming staff and customers , good food, generous portions.
Just be aware that if it's busy you'll be seated in the bar area with some nibbles until your table is ready, where they'll take your order and drinks order.
We ordered when seated at the bar and the food came pretty soon after we were seated at the table. They were accommodating towards our 1 year old, even when we asked to speed up the dessert and bill payment because she was tired. Thanks, would recommend!

Absolutely fantastic. David and his family go out of their way to make you feel special, and the food is incredible - as is the service.

The food here is very good.... That cannot be denied. It isn't cheap but it is a bit of an experience.
However.... There are some things it is important to consider:
1) Make sure you set aside the entire night. Our table was booked for 8pm but it was very busy and you begin your evening in the little 'bar' area where you can order drinks, are brought freshly made crisps and olives etc. We ordered our food here but did not sit at our actual table til about 9:30 and ate our first course at about 9:45. We were finishing desert at midnight!
2) Be aware of the cost of drinks... Our party of four were not drinking alcohol but over the course of the evening had two non alcoholic mojitos each.... At around £10.50 each... This was a bit of a shock when it came time to pay the bill.... This is expensive even for an alcoholic cocktail!
3) Book in advance....they are only open on a Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday lunch and it is not a large restaurant.
This is still a lovely place to go for a treat or if you have a ton of cash 😁 the hosts are extremely friendly and attentive. The pudding trolley is superb and you can try multiple deserts as part of your set price. We had a lovely, if not expensive evening!

Excellent as always. Brilliant service and wonderful menu. Perfect restaurant for a family celebration lunch. I had the filet steak with bearnaise sauce. So so tender - lovely

As experiences go for birthday events, this ranks right up there. Hospitality from managment was above and beyond. Relaxed, friendly and well organised. Visited on the 18 August for a party of about 80 plus. A marquee was erected near the pool for the function and food which was fantastic was served from outside the tent buffet style. Speaking of food, there was lots of it, this establishment know how to entertain..from the starter to the cheese selection...perfect, as was the wines.
Excellent Job, management and staff.

Celebrated 30 Years of service with a group of friends, fourteen in total on Sat 22nd June. Evening started with drinks on the lawn whilst selecting our choices from a fab menu. The food was excellent, you will not go home hungry. The wine list was extensive with some excellent well priced selections. David, Penny and the team were excellent nothing was too much. More than just a great meal, this was a fab experience, creating lasting memories in a beautiful venue. Having cooked our food, Penny gave us a lift home. Our first but will not be our last visit. Highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant. Old school food, nicely seasoned, huge portions. Staff were lovely, but it was a little pricey

Not a single thing to fault! Nine of us had an amazing lunch for a 16th birthday celebration and ended up carrying on on the patio by the pool on a beautiful summers day, so good we’ve been back many times and recently celebrated mums big birthday. The staff and David could not be more attentive, warm and welcoming even on an exceptionally busy Saturday night. The food is always amazing, and the atmosphere in what is a great building is fantastic. Actually there is one thing to fault and that is I wish it was within walking distance of where we live.
Many thanks to David and his team!
