We visited for an anniversary meal.
Food = superb in texture, flavour and good portions too.
Wine = decent menu. Very smooth Malbec - perfect with the lasagne.
Service = attentive without being intrusive. Setting = cosy and relaxed.
We have lived nearby for several years but never visited. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Lovely pub with great menu. Food has flair and creativity while being traditional. Come here for the Sunday roast and cauliflower cheese. Very attentive service. Historic location and cosy atmosphere.
Frankly the best local pub one could wish for, amazing friendly staff all full of beans and always smiling, couldn’t do more to make your stay more welcome. Beautiful garden space with plenty of space for your pooch to bimble about.. lovely range of drinks to satisfy anyone buds.. the locals are equally just as friendly, a wonderful welcoming bunch of peeps…. Excellent attentive service with happy staff my husband and I had roast pork with seasonal vegetables,kale, roast potatoes with rosemary, cauliflower cheese,gravy all cooked to perfection.

Our first visit to a pub since lockdown eased for a proper meal and I wasn't disappointed.
The service was excellent, as was the food and the staff very friendly. The bubble and squeak starter with perfect poached egg on top, beautiful and the beer battered cod, yummy.
Garden is lovely and so is the interior. You could say that I had forgotten what it was like to go out and that's why I gave it 5 stars, NO I GAVE IT 5 STARS BECAUSE I COULDN'T FAULT ANY DETAIL. Excellent, see you again
It has become my go to even if its just for a drink.... today I had a starter which was the bubble and squeak...omg 🤤🤤🤤🤤 waiter pimped it out with some grilled chicken I mean yum...
Service can be a bit slow but probably cos of restrictions but it's worth the yummy goodness.

Always warm welcoming pub whose menu has been a god but could be a bit or miss over the years but seems to have found its feet again.

Not only was the Sunday lunch amazing but the lovely staff found us a laptop so we could watch the Wimbledon men’s final at the same time. A magical, mystical, magnificent evening (and new men’s champion) 😃
Lovely food. Not cheap but so worth the money as food was lovely, more than just your run of the mill pub food. A great experience. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
