Great pub - beer is kept really well. If you walk or are a Mountain biker can't recommend it highly enough. You can park here and cycle for 10s of miles off-road through the Chilterns. Food is good, garden is great, did I mention the beer?

Moonlit walk from Hughenden with dog, with pub at halfway point. Accident? Or good planning? We'll never know but the welcome was warm and the beer refreshing.

Great place with great atmosphere and the best fish ans chips I have ever ate! Fish so juicy and tasty with crispy coating…great chips and sweet green peas…oh man! Its simply the best!

Popped in here after visiting Hughenden Manor. Such a great find - food was very good a d service was friendly. This is one of those pubs that you'd love to sit in the corner of and just chill out for the day. Lovely atmosphere.

Lovely isolated country pub with character and large garden. Great choice of good pub food and cask ales. Friendly staff make it a real pleasure to visit and we shall definitely return. Beware, it can be difficult to find as it's on an unmade road and satnavs can take you to the wrong place, so consult an OS map beforehand. Well worth finding though.

Nice pub with plenty of spaces inside and outside. Play area for kids. The waiting time was a little bit too long but we understand because it was busy.

Beautiful pub in a charming location, with excellent ambience, doggie friendly, absolutely superb food and charming staff. Thank you for a wonderful visit. 5* ... and another 5* for the chips!!

Very friendly landlord and staff. Food is well presented and of a very good standard. The large beer garden is a wonderful place to chill in the afternoon

Lovely pub with parking, decent amount of outdoor seating and an area at the bottom for the kids to play in, part of the kids play area was broken which is a shame but it was fenced off so the kids don't injure themselves on it. Staff where very friendly and all had smiles on their faces! :)
