Yes, prices have increased, but so they have everywhere. In response to other review , i remember Masala fish and chips being approx 8 quid Sept last year, never the £4.99 quoted elsewhere. For £9.99 you get a fair sized piece of delicious fish the only pla(i)ce i know of that does Masala plus plenty of golden chips.
I am not in Wycombe much now, having previously lived there for 30 plus years but whenever i return to visit friends/ family, i ensure i have at least one take out from Mr Cod.

Lovely bit of fish and the chips were fabulous. Even though this was after 10.30pm, the batter was thin, crisp and fresh, and everything tasted great.

Update 7th July 2022 - Waited 15 minutes for fresh batch of 2 x haddock and chips...got home and the quality of the potatoes was awful and the oil appears to have been stale as there was a poor flavour as well as very little fish v batter. The fish was also cold and not it's usual flakey lovliness... Prices up too, so you need to be careful to still offer quality products...hope you are back on form soon

Good place for take out, loved their dipper meal, friendly staff, the price was very reasonable in past but now the increased the prices alot. Bit expensive for this food.

Cheesy chips and chilli sauce for the Mrs every visit including NewYears Day 2023
Expect a queue at peak times.
We keep going back despite having moved a greater distance away - the quality is always top-notch... the offering is good enough to have people parked on double yellows on both sides of the road to run in to get their food!
Staff are incredibly friendly and service is as fast as commercial fryers can cope with.

4 fish and chip dinners, 2 sausage in batters, 2 cans of drinks and 2 apple pies and 8 dips for under £40. Very impressed. Nice food, nice staff. Only had 3 fish ready and we wanted 4 so the lovely chap cooked us 4 from scratch! Can’t complain!

Good location for some amazing eating, waited for almost 20 minutes for food but its not a big issue because food was much tasty and hot n fresh. We two friends had a good experience of their delicious fish. Would recommend

My wife and I went there for evening meal and ordered chicken burgers. Luckily we did not have to wait for to be seated. Amazingly made burgers, got our order in less than 10 minutes. Great ambiance and attentive staff. Would surely be back

This is a tough one for me as I absolutely love the fried chicken here and sometimes travel all the way from London to buy grub from here, but i'm in the business of giving 100% honest food reviews ONLY!!! Here we go then:
The fried chicken 9/10
You get are a big portion of proper chips not french fries 7/10
The staff on the other hand are rude towards anyone who isn't Asian and I've witnessed this on numerous occasions, for that reason they get 2/10 for customer service.
