Excellent fillet steak, the blue cheese and mushroom sauce complimented the meal superbly, and the roast lamb rump beautifully tender and lean. Attentive friendly staff making you feel relaxed, all in all a pleasurable meal, I would highly recommend treating yourself to an evening meal here. Thank you for making our anniversary memorable for all the right reasons.

Went for the carvery on Sunday 15th September, the staff were very helpful even though we were running slightly late, a good variety of meats and vegetables, our party all agreed it was very nice, would definitely recommend if your after a proper Sunday roast, we will definitely be going again, great service. Oh if you like pudding go for the salted Caramel cheesecake to die for.

We've been to the Pimpernel on loads of occasions before tonight and always found the food excellent. Unfortunately tonight we didn't find it up to the standard we've had before. I had lamb shank with root veg. It came up with mashed potatoes and carrots and gravy. The lamb was coooked to perfection but the plate didn't look particularly appetising and it would have been nice to have some green veg with it. I mentioned it to the waitress and was brought a small portion of broccoli spears. My friend had rump steak with chips, tomato and mushrooms. Again the steak was fine but the presentation not so good. There was just one small cherry tomato and a few mushrooms on the plate with the steak and chips. It would have been much better if there had been a small salad, couple of onion rings or more tomato to give the meal a less basic look. We were quite disappointed having had such good meals in the past and will probably be wary of going for another one.
