Stopped for dinner on a road trip. Service was good, waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Salad Bar was alright with standard options (few lettuce mixes, vegetables, 4-5 dressings, cheeses, and bacon bits). Bread bar was pretty good with 4-5 different loaves. Soups were decent. Interior was clean, but worn and dated. Warm and comfortable in it's prime.

Checked online to see if served gluten free items, said yes. I had grilled cod only thing available. Did not get melted butter for it till ten minutes after it was served. It was cold on one end and barely warm on the other. My mom had shrimp that coating was so stiff and hard it was difficult to chew. Her French fries were so old and brown they were inedible. Not going there again! The waitress was nice but not to pay for such awful food!

I ordered the salad bar. It looked messy. It needed to be cleaned and refreshed at dinnertime. But, there were many choices. Tried both soups - vegetable beef was good; chicken noodle had an unpleasant flour taste. The homemade bread was excellent! There were several kinds and you could slice off what you liked. There was a big bowl of whipped butter. Unfortunately it had a dead fly in it.

Great experience for me, I ordered a burger and it was great. They didn’t skimp on the fries like so many places do. Our server was great, frequently in the area and available but not over bearing. The wife ordered a steak and was not impressed with the quality of her meal, stated it was over cooked.

Our dining experience wasn't as good as past visits. We usually opt for the Salad Bar...but that didn't look very appetizing. We were there early yet the bread bar was picked over and empty. My steak wasn't cooked medium, my wife asked for her bread toasted on her hot beef sandwich and it wasn't. It may seem trivial but they all add up to a unenjoyable experience. We will go back again because our many previous visits have been very good. Hopefully they just had a bad night.

So bad that I didn't eat! Tried to have the "salad bar" but nothing was stocked so watched my wife eat a little from it. My daughter ordered off the menu didn't like it! My wife had small dish complained to me everything tasted bad like vinegar... But with no service and a uncaring staff was stuck with no one seeing that the patrons were leaving unhappy! Specifically went in for fish and none was "on the salad bar" like I was told. My wife stood and waited for quite some time and little to compliment. I left crabby, hungry, and with a much higher bill then I expected.
