The Railway, Hinckley

We came here for a Sunday Roast (with our dog) and were very impressed by the food, the portion sizes were great and the food itself was delicious - we had the trio of meat option which was just under £20 each and was well worth it. It comes with a side of veg too. And being dog friendly is a huge plus for us too. Will definitely be back!

Me and my husband visited Stemin' Billy today and can I say...they gravy and chips are to die for. So delicious. Husband ordered Billy's pie and truly enjoyed it, leak and mushroom pie I ordered unfortunately wasn't to my liking but it still doesn't change the fact that vegetables was very well cooked and don't forget about that gravy!.

We were looking for Sunday Lunch at the Bank Holiday weekend. After trying a good few places in the countryside around Hinckley, we ended up back where we started. The Railway had a table for us, the food was good (huge portions, even the half-size ones!), the beer likewise, and the staff were helpful and friendly. They catered for "Gluten Free". And when later my wife thought she had left her cardigan, they were most helpful. (She hadn't!) So five stars, and we'll be back. Well done team!

Me and my husband are not hard drinkers. So the guy at the counter made for us long island iced tea and it was so good. The food also was warm, nicely served by the lady and tasted nice. Though I wish they had more options in veg. The plant based burger patties in general I really don't find them tasty at all. I wished it was more of authentic prepared from veggies, chick peas etc. Or even falafel based veg patty tastes very good. If that doesn't work, should be given an option for potato patty. With that it would have been for me then a perfect place to dine in. However my husband's food was superb as he said. So that's why full stars for the experience.
