The food was delicious and arrived super fast. We had the sharing platter. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Just a warning about the car park, though. It is privately owned land now, so you have to go into the pub and immediately enter your vehicle's registration number. There are signs displayed, but it is not immediately obvious unless you are looking for it. So, if you don't register as soon as you go into the pub, you will get a penalty charge for up to £100! So be careful. X ❤️

Update: 5* last few visits the food has been amazing, well presented, hot and well cooked. New menu at the Hansom cab, some great vegetarian additions. The menu won't set the world alight nevertheless it does offer excellent value for money. Family oriented definitely, activities, play area and kid friendly coin operated machines. Gets very busy, you can book online.

I would like to share what a fantastic experience we had at the Hansom Cab. We booked a meal for 30 plus people for a local day service for adults with disabilities. We pre-ordered our meals and had a list of the drinks we required ready for them on arrival. Charlotte, her Mum and the team really looked after us every step of the way. They had an area reserved for us on arrival with space to accommodate wheelchairs.The drinks were served promptly and the meals all came out at around the same time and were piping hot & delicious. Considering there were 30+ meals this is amazing service. They were so organised and professional, we couldn’t fault a single thing. The staff were absolutely lovely with all our customers, making them feel at ease and helping them to enjoy the experience. The food has definitely improved in the last six months as breakfasts are hot on arrival, and the quality is very good. We meet as a group twice a month, and I have said to our members that if you have a problem with the food, highlight it at the time so it can be rectified straight away. Dean and his team don't know unless you tell them at the time. This includes service times as well. Keep up the good work, Hansom Cab team.

The Handsome Cab is a Hungry Horse chain pub/restaurant in Hinckley. It’s very good at what it does as long as you know what to expect from it. The food has gone up in price so it’s no longer the bargain it used to be but you can currently get 20% off with a code from the Blue Light card app. It’s not fine dining and it doesn’t advertise itself as such, the food comes out incredibly quickly so it’s more than likely microwaved, however, it’s usually pretty tasty so no complaints there. They have a large classic pub menu with gluten free options available and a good selection of beer wine and cocktails at reasonable prices. The staff that I’ve spoken to have also been very friendly and helpful and it’s always an efficient process to put in an order. Car park is free for patrons and there are plenty of spaces, you must remember to put you registration in on the iPad at the bar or you will get a parking ticket. Overall good at what it does, as long as you don’t expect it to be fine dining, good for a reasonably priced family meal.
