oh wow, we travel around the country, but always come back to The Indian Ocean, we have introduced so many friends and family to Sam and his team, all cannot say enough about the service and the food, never in 10 years have I experienced a ''bad'' service or meal, I have tried pretty much everything on the menu, and not a lover of hot food, the chef adjusts my meal to suit, it is always freshly prepared and made, hot and delish...thankyou my perfect man Richard Haughey, for introducing me to Sam and The Indian Ocean...

Highly recommended restaurant. Serving authentic Indian food with a lovely warm decor to compliment the dining experience.

Went here with my colleagues for dinner, the food was soooo good. Service was great, there was quite a few of us and they managed to get food out roughly the same time, so no awkward waits in between. The madras and tikka is amazing! Well worth the five stars and recommends to anyone visiting.

100% recommend the Indian Ocean. Food was delightful, lamb 2 ways starter was probably the best piece of lamb I think I have had! 7 of us went as a group and service was brilliant, didn't have to wait long for the food. And they didn't mind us just chatting for a while after till closing time :) Well done Indian Ocean, well done!

Starters and desserts were excellent, the mains pretty average. The mains don't really fit with the setting either - very much standard Bangladeshi curry house while the rest of the menu and the restaurant itself are more modern Indian. Service was fast and attentive. Pricing is pretty high, and charging extra for minor changes or additions (£1 per spoonful of condiments) seems unnecessary considering the overall costs - not enough to annoy, but had me wondering why...

A local favourite, it's reliably good. The recent refurbishment has paid off and the restaurant is very impressive. Excellent food and atmosphere and very polite staff.

The decor is lovely with a very clean, well maintained space. The food was delicious and fantastically presented. Lovely portions and the lamb was very tender both from the starter and in the main Rogan Josh and Biriyani dishes. The onion bhargis were generous and crunchy without being oily and the Paddhi Chat was divine. All dishes were tasty and the service was great, with friendly and efficient staff. Very, very enjoyable experience. Do highly recommend!

We returned whilst in the area having not been for at least 10 years when we remember it being the best Indian in the surrounding area (nearby villages incl. Cambridge). That judgment still stands and the Indian Ocean is as fantastic as it previously was. Naturally, there’s an updated menu with all the standard curries but there’s a range of house specialities. I had the Goan Green curry which was superb. The chicken dhansak was good also, although a bit light on the lentils. Service was good and the prices reasonable. It was nice to see all of the tables taken on a Saturday evening, which I don’t recall being the case 10 years ago so I’d recommend booking on popular evenings. Would definitely return when next in and around Cambridge and fancying an Indian.

We eat here quite often and the food is always amazing and delicious. Service great too. Only disappointment is they no longer do a keema naan

Fully enjoyed our meal but being charged £1 for extra spice to a dish I’m finding hard to believe, and extra cost for lime pickle with popadoms again 🥴but both the meals were delicious and would recommend you visit. They just need to sort their priorities and bedside manner.

A wonderful meal with a wide range of food options. We had a mix of people dining, some with dietary requirements and some who wanted to eat sides/starters rather than mains. We were all able to find things we liked and the food was delicious. The tables were well spaced out and the decor was quite modern which added to the meal as well. Next time we come to Cambridge we will be coming back!
