Arrived around 2pm (without booking) for Sunday lunch today - my birthday �
Despite it being busy, we were found a table straight away & our waitress (Aleah) was friendly & helpful. Our dinner was served less than 5 mins after it was ordered & was delicious. The only reason we didn't pay any gratuity was because I pressed the wrong button on the card machine � ... Would definitely recommend this as a great place to eat & drink �

Had our lunch here whilst waiting for our son to finish his college audition at the nearby performing arts college. The atmosphere was relaxed and chilled, the waiting staff welcoming and friendly , the food absolutely delicious and the drinks on point. Definitely worth having a meal when you happen to be in Hitchin.
A family party of 8. Table service very good and friendly. Food was excellent. Comfortable seats and suitable table in alcove. Pleasant decor and grounds poetry next to the millstream fire a peaceful walk. Lots of seats outside. Great place only a short distance from centre of Hitchin and Train station
Very nice atmosphere, good starters and nice main, had the steak and chicken, requested a jacket potato but received chips instead, however they were fairly quick on resolving this, overall very pleasant dining experience and good range of food

Standard pub food at reasonable prices, we didn’t go inside but the outside seating is very pleasant.
Discovered this place a few months ago now, impressed on our first visit and said I would be back, so our second time here, and just like the first time, excellent in every way, service, food and overall ho well we was looked after. Will be coming back that's for sure.
We went for a quick bite to eat on Saturday night. We hadn't made a booking but they fitted us in. We sat at a nice table and the atmosphere was lovely. Our waitress, Erin was amazing. She was very professional and friendly and looked after our every need. She is definitely an asset to this pub. The food came out quickly and was hot and tasted very nice. Would definitely recommend this place.
Great food and very fair prices. Bit of a gem in Hitchin as many of the town centre restaurants and pubs don’t offer such a good menu. Polite and friendly staff which adds to a nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back when we visit again 🙂
I have just had a meal with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had the beer battered fish and chips and chose the caramel dessert on the 'specials' menu. Both were really tasty and good size portions. I don't usually take the time to review but was so impressed with Thea that served us. Nothing was too much for her to make our evening special. She is a delight. Thank you and we will be back
We had a lovely roast dinner there today. Friendly staff, they were lovely and entertained my 11 month old. Good baby change facilities. Good roast dinner, nice size portions and reasonably priced.

Service here on the 16th Dec 22 was fab! It was super busy, we (table of 6) were a little worried that would affect the service however they kept the drinks flowing. We ordered from the festive menu, which was lovely. We also came for the festive menu on the 7th Dec 22 (table of 7) loved it so much we rebooked for the 16th. We will deffo be back. Cocktails are lush Here.
