Great improvements since I last visited. Finally a happy face behind the bar, Shan was polite cheerful and very good at her job. I’ll be back, it’sa wonderful building and now it seems like it is being run properly.

The staff are very friendly and professional, I’ll definitely return! Shan and Elirose are very attentive, nothing is too much for them! Made my experience great! I recommend you pop in to the sun for a drink! :)

I went to view the location for a prospective event.
It was beautiful, the lady on the desk, Angela, was so helpful. She had so much knowledge about the venue and it's History.
She made get suggestions about what could be done there and gave us exciting examples.

Lovely atmosphere, a very large seating area inside, and a nice quiet seating area outside. Friendly staff and very clean throughout. Reasonable prices also.

Hitchin is a lovely town and the hotel is very central. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating even though I arrived before the check in time, there were no worries leaving bags etc.

Stayed for a night for work. Rooms were cleaned to a good standard and were warm. Electric heater in the room as standard. Corridors are a bit uneven and windy but the place has lovely character as you'd expect from a building this old. Friendly and welcoming service by all the staff and especially from Evans during the breakfast service. Located right in the centre with free parking. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely evening here at the sun. Myself and 3 others came for a catch up, We had a very sweet young lady called El, she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. compliments to the chef! His food was delicious. The mini desert with a coffee was a great treat! We will definitely be back!
Only thing that was disappointing was they seemed to be very short staffed as the young lady serving us was called to the reception desk. That left us waiting for a while for our deserts.
