First time at the Sun and wow service was excellent even though they were busy, instantly got a table on a Saturday night and was greeted by a welcoming member of staff. We ordered 1x cod and chips, the beer batter was crisp and dry with succulent cod, chips cooked to perfection along with perfectly seasoned mushy peas. 1 x classic cheese burger with fries and house slaw, homemade burger was tasty and good quality, fresh bun and cheese. 1 x hunters chicken, chicken was moist, perfect fries and tasty house slaw. All portions were good sizes and presented lovely. Good selection of craft beers and drinks available. Service was second to none, from happy, helpful and professional staff. Good choice of vegetarian options. Disabled access available. If you get the opportunity definitely give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

We visited here as a group of seven for a birthday meal. The pub was buzzing with diners and casual drinkers, a nice atmosphere. We was warmly welcomed and shown to our table. From there onwards the service was excellent and the staff were all so friendly and well versed in customer care! The food was all lovely with no complaints from any of us, everything was well presented and tasted great. We all agreed afterwards that we will definitely be returning to this pub. Highly recommended!

Amazing Golden Anniversary lunch in the lovely function room at The Sun last Sunday. Jasmine, the manager, provided an exceptional service from start to finish - her communication throughout the booking process was superb and she went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect, helping us organise balloons, a toast, cake and a photo slideshow. She greeted us upon arrival and even checked when we would like the kids' meals brought out so that the younger children were fed at the right time. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we were really impressed with the efficient way the food was brought out. The room itself was beautiful and there was lots of space for the children to move around. The food was great value, too. The whole experience was just perfect.
