Found this place by accident after a walk. The best accident I've had. The best pub menu I have seen in a long time. Top quality food. It was that good we came the next day also. We've even booked their cottage later in the year so that we can go back. Well done to all involved. Can't recommend you enough.

The Fleece must be one of the best pubs in England. Well kept beer and food to die for. Genuinely, some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted. Portions were very generous and you could tell that the chef loved the job and was very good at it. Prices seemed a little high but in reality a bargain due to the quantity and quality. Super dog friendly too. If you’re in the area do yourselves a favour and visit this gem of a place.

We just did the Netherby Brow Loop walk, which finishes at this fantastic pub. Great traditional pub with amazing food from a large menu. Good selection of beer and lager. Dog friendly and a separate menu for canines! Great service, friendly staff and good atmosphere in front of an open fire. Will probably return (without the walk)

I ordered 2 pies as we had guests coming round for dinner, and everyone was so impressed and said they were absolutely delicious. Anybody having a dinner party and want to impress, then I would highly recommend buying them from the Fleece, full of filling and tasted beautiful. Each pie feeds 8 to 9 people, we had so much left we have had it over 2 days for our tea, still as tasty as the day we got them. Thank you again, expect more orders from us and our friends as they all wanted to know where they came from.

Lovely cozy pub in the village of Holme - we stopped on a whim coming over from Holme Moss as we saw the lights and fire and thought it looked interesting. We only stopped for one drink so can't comment on the menu, and as veggies I didn't spot many veggie options from the board (but there might have been on another menu), but I loved the vibe, decor and atmosphere and would definitely go here for a drink again if we were in the area. I also liked that it was very dog friendly, going so far as to have a menu for the dogs too.

Now, I can honestly say the food is the most amazing food I've ever tasted. The roast beef was absolutely incredible. Portions were huge! Absolutely Huge! Full credit to the chef and kitchen staff for producing such delicious food, the front of house team were also amazing! We were welcomed the moment we walked through the door to The Fleece Inn. The pub is cosy, warm, welcoming, and friendly. I wished it was in Norfolk, I would be a regular customer. Thank you for a wonderful meal and to all the staff at The Fleece Inn for their hospitality and friendly customer service. If I could give you 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would! 😍

Great traditional pub serving great food, a short distance out of Holmfirth. Portions are very large so choose starters carefully. My goat's cheese starter was excellent. Only a couple of ales on tap which was disappointing but a wide choice of gins for my wife. There is a car park at the rear and the pub is fully accessible with a ramp up to the door.

Enjoyed dinner after the walk on the Moors! Beef and lamb was delicious, but beef gravy tasted turnipy! Not for my liking, but I am sure other people have various taste! Lamb gravy was delicious! Kept scooping it out from my boyfriend's plate!! Deserts absolutely outstanding! Could not decide which one was better! Service was great, very polite and knowledgeable staff! Thank you and coming back!!
