We attended Ribbles for a 40th birthday platter today. We were not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed by Lynn and shown to the best reserved table upstairs, the whole place is beautifully furnished with old wooden furniture and is very homely. The tasty platter of sandwiches and cakes quickly arrived after our coffees with bubbly on a quirky miniature picnic table. We will be revisiting Ribbles and the beautiful surrounding area very soon! Thank you Ribbles

I love this place. The food is great (I recommend the breakfast especially), the coffee is really good, and the staff are lovely. Ribbles is really dog-friendly and my hound, Loki, is always made really welcome. If you're not a dog person Ribbles is still for you as there are no four-legged customers allowed on the first floor!

Fabulous spot. I visited here with a couple friends after doing a local hike and we were all equally impressed with Ribbles of Holmfirth. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a warm welcome from the lady behind the counter (sorry I never got your name!). Great drinks, even better food, beautiful surroundings. It made a wonderful change having some older music on in the background, such a nice place to be. I had a hash stack and everything was cooked to perfection. Full of flavour and all at a great price. I was very surprised when going upstairs to the bathroom that there's another floor to sit within too. The bathroom was also clean and tidy, finished off with individual hand towels which is a very welcome addition. Overall we loved it here and will return in the future without hesitation.

Gorgeous place. Cosy, affordable and delicious food and drink. Portion sizes are fabulous! You get a lot of tea. Decaf option was available too which was amazing ! I recommend their brownies and scones - they provide butter , cream and jam in separate pots for you to use! Amazing customer service- super friendly , affable and sweet :) thank you both 🖤

Lovely little cafe. We were visiting the area and decided to try Ribbles for coffee and cake. The place is pretty, charming and inviting. I enjoyed the background music. Staff were friendly and helpful too. The decaff coffee was enjoyable, as was the cake - rather expensive though (£4 for a muffin 😳) I have never paid that much before! I would prefer to see prices next to the cake so as not embarrass oneself by having to ask! Also in other cafes they usually label the cakes - it is much easier than having to ask. I would return if visiting the area again - maybe just for coffee though.

Lovely place! Staff were very friendly and there was really tasty food! I would definitely recommend the platters, specifically the roasted vegetables and spiced chickpeas salads! The cakes were also great! All very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely little cafe, being located in a very old house, the stairs are a bit steep but still well worth the visit, even with my creaky knees. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was enjoyable..

Called in on whim and so glad we did! I had a beautiful brunch of chorizo and halloumi hash stack and my daughter had a bacon and sausage sandwich that was delicious as well. Rounded off with 2 hot chocolates. Absolutely gorgeous place with lovely food. We will definitely be back!
