Cannot praise highly enough, they made sure our daughter( with autism) was sat where she would be comfortable and made her something not on the menu that she would enjoy, also I’m a coeliac and checked everything would be ok for me even though it said gf on the menu. A lovely find tucked away in Holmfirth, a very rustic pub set in an idyllic location. The food was very good, and the carvery was top-notch, though if you don't fancy a carvery there are various other meal options such as their Meat and Potato Ale pie. The desserts were delicious I recommend the lemon cheesecake. So if you are out walking or going for a drive and need a good place to stop you won't be disappointed with this one

Had lunch with family on Saturday. Had to wait a while for food as there were staff issues, but well
worth the wait, food was fantastic and plenty of it,staff were lovely, very apologetic about the wait
and we had a free drink on fhe house ,always lovely here, we travel from Wales to see family and always look forward to eating here.🙂🙂🙂

Been coming here since I was a child (30 years) and the food is always to the same high standards. Came here yesterday for a Sunday roast with a party of 9. Despite us just turning up, the staff were quick to juggle about some reserved tables to make space for us! Portions are huge but we all nearly cleared our plates. Always a favourite to come for a family occasion. Thanks as always for a lovely meal!

I take my wife here when we're having a treat. Every time we have visited we have had great service & fabulous food.
It's not cheap but you need to make sure you don't have anything to eat for a few hours before you go because the portions are huge.
The precautions they have put in place because of covid19 put me totally at ease. From the cleaning regime, to the one way system that they have implemented, they appear to have got it spot on.
Well done to all the staff & long may the Fox House continue to operate.

Very nice place to go for food and drinks.
As soon as you walk in you get a nice warm feeling the temperature is just right the staff are very friendly and the food is great.
The prices of the food is very good for the portion size.
Would always recommended eating here.
