En Route Cafe Holmfirth

Love this place as it allows dogs. You have to go down the side of the building to a cafe at lower ground level. Very friendly staff who made a fuss of our dogs. Nice cake and coffee. More cafes should allow dogs as there is no law against it! The law is, no dogs where food is prepared, so it's ok for dogs to be taken where food is being eaten. The Kennel Club web site clearly explains the laws regarding dogs in public places.

Lovely cosy decor and really friendly service. They were so accommodating as I called in the morning explaining I have a dairy intolerance and wanted to come for waffles. They said they make the batter fresh every morning in batches but they should be able to pop out to get some alternative milk for a dairy free batch. The waffles were amazing (would thoroughly recommend the breakfast waffles with bacon, sausage and egg) and they even did an unusual waffle with cheese on top for my niece. We'd come in for lunch a few days before and they had a really nice choice of food and very tasty. Perfect for families and bike enthusiasts as well. Will make sure we come back next time we're in the area

Set into the lovely village of Holmfirth this cafe is great. It has its own blend of coffee that's nice, and in the evening it turns into a bar. There is a pram park inside the door and a play area for the little ones. This did not impose on our visit at all so don't worry about being disturbed I didn't even know the kids were there. The menu looks inviting and the artwork surrounding the room is brilliant.
