Crisp & Dry

We've been staying down the road this week and today the weather has been a bit off, so we decided to stay close and just pop and get some dinner, we really fancied fish and chips (let's face it its not a holiday if you've not had fish and chips) so we checked out closest chip shop one was the corner cafe and the other was crisp and dry, I checked the latest reviews which didn't look good so we were going to go to corner cafe. When we got into the town the cafe was closed and as we didn't have much option we decided to just go to crisp and dry... All I can say is fantastic, the chip shop is clean and the staff friendly and efficient, the prices were what you'd expect to pay for fish and chips we both had a small haddock which was not small and was cooked beautifully the batter crispy and thin gorgeous. In hindsight I think it shows you can't listen to all the reviews you read. We me and my husband both really enjoyed our food.

As a Holsworthy Exile living in Belgium, I always look froward to some traditional fish and chips when back home. The fish here was super quality, and perfectly cooked. I didn't order chips as I was not so hungry, but using my 'expert Belgian eye for Frites', I could see they were also very good, and cooked with the Belgian double fry method.

After a 9 hour drive the excellent fish, chips, peas and curry was very appreciated. It was still hot when delivered and the fish batter was still crispy. Lovely polite and friendly delivery guy. Served in a card board box which makes all the difference in my opinion. I'm sure we'll be back again this week. Thanks Crisp & Dry
