Went in today after it changing hands again, food was amazing, beautifully presented as well, no problems what so ever. Lovely, no faults, I wish the new owner all the best luck in it and that it keeps to the high standards it had today!
We stayed here lastnight to celebrate my husbands birthday and our wedding anniversary.our room was lovely,food was fantastic and the 2 guys running the place went above and beyond to make our stay memorable including a monster sized burger challenge for my hubby which he almost managed but not quite.we shall definately return!!!
Very nice pub in a lovely village. Great selection of drinks and a good menu with food from main meals to sandwiches. We had a few sandwiches and they were really nice, lovely soft bread with plenty of filling. Staff are very friendly. It's a bit of a TARDIS, there are loads of tables inside and a huge conservatory. Will be going again.....
We popped in the way back to our holiday cottage. We had not booked a table, but the staff were super. Nice table in the bar. Food was very good and great value. A young girl on the adjacent table described her pasta as perfect. I agree it was perfect.
Brilliant pub, serving really tasty meals which easily rival other pubs in the area. Can highly recommend the smoked pork belly curry and the Eton Mess. Staff here are great, friendly and knowledgeable on the food and drink that they are serving, plus very patient when our fussiest kid was ordering. Also we really appreciated how we were offered a larger table when one was available - this was incredibly thoughtful. Will definitely revisit when next in the area.
Wonderful meal, good availability. We didn't book and the staff were very accommodating. Shaun was in particular very friendly and a brilliant server. My steak was cooked perfectly and my partner enjoyed his meal too

We got a lovely warm welcome from the staff on arrival before being shown to a really comfortable Georgian room with a fabulous bathroom and kitchen area. Food and drink were both excellent and well presented. Highly recommended.
Popped in on the off-chance, having not booked and were met with a welcoming smile, as were the doggos.
Had a delicious meal and can highly recommend both the sea bass with Bombay potatoes and mango salsa or the Arrancini (mozzarella wrapped in risotto rice) … flippin’ gorgeous.
Adnams ghost-ship was lush and service was with a helpful smile.
As and when in Holt, defo worth a visit - we’ll be back!
Friendly service, bar staff were very helpful. We had a nice drink sat in the bar in very comfy armchairs. Felt very welcome on a rainy day. Set in a lovely little village also
This pub turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise. It's got a nice seating area out the back and plenty of seating inside (plus a pool table). The food was what really stood out - it was very pricey for a pub but the food was excellent.
Well kept beers. Good selection. Good menu, and even a pool table! Nice beer garden out the back in the middle of town. And very friendly service.
Lovely stay at The Kings Head. Room was spacious and nicely furnished. The breakfast at Byfords was really good and the service there is awesome 👌
