Outstanding coffee & excellent friendly service. Spot on location, quiet side street, outside bench and a couple of tables inside. Coffee was super tasty, we had Flat white & Americano day 1 and an absolutely delicious Cold Brew day 2. Both days enjoyed the cinnamon rolls which we would highly recommend. Best coffee in the area ☕🖤

A great coffee location tucked just away from the main high street! The coffee is really rather special, friendly staff, knowledgeable and the cinnamon rolls are amazing!! Quick & friendly service - Well worth a visit and would be rather dangerous if I was local!

Superb coffee, friendly service and a great vibe all round. And the cinnamon buns are a wicked treat to have any day. The world needs more coffee shops like this

This little place is amazing! I'm from Melbourne, and live in Hackney, so I'm lucky to have great choices when it comes to Cafes. And this place would be welcome against any of the nicest places I've been too. We had a great coffee, a great matcha latte and a great hot chocolate and possibly the best vegan cinnamon bun I've ever had! You have to come to this place if you come to Holt!

Cross Street is away from the semi- bustling streets that is Holt, it is truly a must visit for anyone remotely interested in “speciality coffee”. The owner of this independent establishment is a genuinely kind individual that openly welcomes any that happen to come across this brilliant hidden gem.

One of the better coffees I've had, particularly for the quite good prices. The owner is nice and friendly.

Amazing coffee, exceptionally talented barista with excellent customer service. So reasonably priced considering the quality of the coffee. 5/5, 10/10, 100% would recommend

If you have ambitions to open a coffee shop, then you can spend a couple of years on a catering course. Afterwards you can dim the light of your enthusiasm by slogging for a bit in a Costa or a Greggs. Then with a business plan, a dust sheet, a spread sheet and some savings, you can pester poor granny for a loan and you are good to go. It rarely ends well. Customers for some weird reason, don't regard you as highly as you regard yourself. You sneer when you mean to smile and your voice takes on a canine quality and you bark at customers. And unfortunately, granny has survived Covid and the loan still stands. Eventually, like some Hogarthian progress, the shutters come down and you end up in debt and despair. Happily, you tell us that you "have landed on your feet" and are now managing a Subway in Skegness. It could all have been avoided if instead of all the years wasted, you had simply taken the omnibus to Holt and spent an hour in the Cross Street Union Café. It would have rekindled your idealism. You would have learnt the point and art of service. And renewed enthusiasm, would hopefully, have put your ego back into its penny-ha'penny place. This Café comes with many disadvantages: it is small and doesn’t enjoy a good position, yet its reputation in this pretty little town, exceeds all the others. The owner is welcoming and comes with a pleasant personality that spills out onto the street outside. The coffee is excellent and the home baked buns are exquisite. A well deserved 5 stars.
