We have been on holiday here for 2 weeks and been to The Cove 5 times. We are not youngsters - over 55! We do appreciate their rules for where you can and can't sit depending on what you want to eat or just drink. It's a small place and the staff need their space to come and go easily when serving the food (which we notice has been commented on in a negative manner by other reviewers)! We have had a couple of meals here and been asked to either sit upstairs for pizza/nachos or a main meal where we have been asked to sit downstairs. Perfect in every single way whether we were enjoying just a drink in the upper terrace or food elsewhere. All of the staff are super friendly and really welcoming - we couldn't recommend this super casual and to us sort of trendy pub enough. 25 stars out of 10 - thank you for making our holiday so relaxing and perfect. Lobster Linguine was the best we have ever eaten!

Absolutely 10 out of 10!! Great food, great atmosphere, great friendly staff. Really welcoming, kind and helpful. We stayed 6 days in the local area and went in most days! Shame to say goodbye and will be back at some point in the future! Highly recommend!

Really cool bar that you can watch the sunset from in the eve or enjoy the daytime sun on their terrace. Pizza van upstairs makes great pizzas although very popular so can be a long wait for food.

Had a lovely meal after being let down by another place on my birthday, went in and asked for a table of 2 and was greeted by a very blunt older lady saying they were booked and wouldn’t have anything for at least 30 minutes, not a problem, we came back and were greeted by the same lady that bluntly stated to another colleague ‘they needed to clear another table because they had more people to seat’, honestly I was a bit set back because you would think they would want the business. Other than this we were really impressed and all the other staff were lovely and so polite.

Just a refreshingly great place! All the staff were extremely polite and friendly, and the manager (I presume), was super organised and accommodating. We were drawn to eat there for lunch by the appealing menu. We all ordered seafood from the specials board and it was amazing. If we were staying close by we’d eat there again tomorrow

One of the only places to eat and takeaway so gets very busy. The upstairs patio has the better views and serves pizza. We were downstairs and didn’t realise that you couldn’t order pizza - disappointing. In any case food was decent. The crab crostinis were nice. We also came back for takeaway coffee which was pretty good.

A nice pub/restaurant with a great view. Dog and children friendly. Staff are friendly and eager to help. It has a pleasant atmosphere, but can get quite busy with tourists and families due to its remote location and non booking. Downstairs is a restaurant that serves its own menu, while upstairs has a bar and pizzeria serving a different menu. The upstairs bar/pizzeria has a terrace that has views over the bay. The bar also do guest ales for anyone wanting to try something new or local. The food was nice. I had a special - seafood bisque, which was pleasant but a little lacking for the price, while my wife had the fish goujons, which were very good. The Cove also has events on during the evenings such as live music and a comedy night.

Nice place for a quick drink or food. There was a bit of a wait to get in and to order drinks but staff was very friendly. Great view from the top floor terrace (be aware that only the bar menu is served here, the restaurant menu is only served downstairs) - can recommend the pizza, Mac 'n' Cheese was okay.
