Hornsea Mere Cafe - Hornsea - Photo album

Excellent little cafe with friendly staff. Nice range of cakes to choose from and outdoor seating with views of the boating portion of the mere while you enjoy a cuppa. Round the back there's the parking which backs onto the main mere with some very friendly ducks and geese that will eat out of your
A lovely day out for the family, ample parking, lovely views of the Mere and wildlife. A small cafe serving a variety of food. Kids menu is a little pricey for what you get, £4.50 for just 1 sausage and chips. However the staff were friendly and the toilets were clean. The highlight of the visit was
Beautiful views and a nice little walk. Lots of ducks and swans and geese to feed. Lovely little gift shop that sells local items. Cafe serves really nice tasty good quality food, deserts and hot and cold drinks. Recommend a visit.
Can't vote on the cafe as it was closed on arrival. We cane to see the birds and do the walk. Enjoyed little trip out and memory's made and old memory's remembered from child hood.
Really good place to visit especially if you like feeding ducks and geece. The mere has great outlooks so take you camera, the boat trip is worthwhile and the boat hire is cool too. When finished the cafe is great value for coffees and cakes and the food/sandwiches are all home made. Card payment fo
Fast friendly service, with great tasting food and drinks in a gorgeous location overlooking the mere.
Yorkshire's largest freshwater lake. A mere is a body of water wider than it it is deep, with no river feeding it. Water is from ground drainage. Beautiful place, the sun shimmering on the water and the sunsets are fabulous (gates close early evening). Whats at the Mere: Cafe Boathouse - hire and
Beautiful place with lots of history. The cafe is well run with a great selection of food and cakes. The boating is fantastic really good prices for a 30 min round trip of the lake. Highly recommend for a morning out.
Great coffee and cake. Lemon & poppyseed cake was delicious. Staff were lovely, helped us grab everything a bring it inside when it started raining.
Nice place to visit but birds not hungry when we weren't here. Good walk but watch the weather.
Gorgeous place lots of geese and ducks! Went on the rowing boats across the mere just lovely. Kids had ice creams at the cafe on the edge of the mere.
Been awhile since l visited, it hasn't altered, which is nice in this ever changing world. Good place for a walk, or take a row boat out. Or simply watch the sail boats & waterbirds, a nice cafe as well.
The whole place, has a tranquil feel, cafe only serving through hatch at present but produce remains good. Having a few hours at the mere fed our souls some peace from the current madness ✌☺
Me and my partner took our two children rowing for the first time. I used to go when I was a child and loved it. We got there fairly early, around 10.30, and it was fab. They each had a turn at rowing (and were terrible) and they ran their hands in the water when we rowed. They had a great time and
Lovely Small cafe, service was excellent, the atmosphere was calm and quiet, food looked lovely to,with views looking out to the mere.
Lovely place, although you can't walk around the mere. Instead you'll have a 7 mile walk through some of Hornsea farm land and then a walk on the main road back onto the town, not the best part of the walk.
Really nice cheesy chips, good size portions and they do takeaway as well. Closed on Mondays but otherwise nice place for food and to watch the world fr - though it was a bit windy today, would visit again :)
Lovely sunny day been hornsea shopping centre called in at the the Hornsea mere cafe for tea and cake sat out side nice and quiet and peaceful.😊
