Lambert's Bar & Cookhouse

A very nice bar with plenty of drinks choices/seating. It was very well lit almost too bright but aesthetically pleasing all the same. There wasn't any draughts available when i went but plenty of liqours, rum, gin, vodka etc. 80s music played and had a few families and couples in too, but very clean inside and the staff were approachable and friendly.

First impressions of Lambert's was fantastic - the interior is warm and inviting, nicely decorated with a variety of seating. For those wanting to have a sit down meal in a more formal setting, there are tables and chairs in a separate space, stools and high tables near the bar and booths in the far end. There is also plenty of outdoor seating which is fantastic in summer; benches on the grass for when there is a larger group or those wanting to sit in the sun, tables and chairs are also available with the option to sit under a roof and under heated lamps. They have also installed a TV near these seats, which is good for those who are looking to watch a sports match. The drinks options are great and the food is delicious - the pork and chorizo burger I had was juicy and filled with flavour, the chicken burger was also delicious however the pork and chorizo burger was a clear winner. The coleslaw had a bit of a spice to it which was a nice addition and both sweet potato fries and chips were good choices. The food was served very quickly and the staff was attentive, I was very pleased with the service and I'm looking forward to returning many more times.

I visited for lunch for the first time today and was greeted with a friendly smile. Lunch was served by a girl called Emily I think who was just lovely and nothing was to much trouble. The food was delicious and really fresh. I would definitely recommend and will come back again. The outside area is really nice, even though the sun was shining she said if it gets cold let me know and I'll put the heaters on. A really nice touch.

Visited on a Wednesday evening. Sat in the beer garden with the football on and drank a really great selection of beers/wine etc. Then had a meal for 6 people, service was spot on and the food was beautiful. Two of us had ribeye steaks which were cooked perfectly even though we’d done the rare and medium rare combo to make it difficult for the chef. Menu has some great choices on it and the pepper sauce was absolutely amazing. Lots of space. Big tables. Really lovely spot.

Last time we were here it was bar 62. Sadly the massive bar is gone and there's a socially distanced bar end and a restaurant end now. It is quite Spartan and we weren't sure what to expect The food however was spot on. Delicious fish goujons for the little ones and super sweet potato fries with the burger as well as a great nicoise salad. The staff were lovely too. We don't live in horsforth anymore but if we are driving past we would go for lunch and to anyone who is local pop in for some surprisingly good lunch.

A clean and modern looking establishment with very friendly and approachable staff. We ordered 2 roasts, 1 meat and 1 vegan and both were way above expectations. The food was all cooked using fresh ingredients, the meat was tender and juicy and the vegan replacement (kinda like a turmeric and stuffing loaf) was also very delicious. The Yorkshire pudding was a bit dry and crispy for me, however was still quite tasty. It would also have been nice to have more meats to choose from (there were only 2), however the portion sizes were spot on. At ~£12 for a main course, this place is the perfect venue to visit once a month for a nice fresh meal. Place wasn't busy, we were seated straight away without a booking. I can recommend Lambert's and will be definitely coming back here in the future.
