Great atmosphere, busy pub not not overcrowded. Great choice of drinks and lovely pub grub. Well certainly recommend this place to any friends traveling from Heathrow
Excellent choice of real ales, good food, friendly staff, nice and warm bar room and couldn't be handier for Heathrow Airport. Got 5 hours to kill before my flight so will be in today for an afternoon pint.
Transiting through Heathrow we stayed at the Ibis. Instead of going the easy option of eating at the hotel restaurant I thought we’d check out the pub across the road. Didn’t think a pub in an airport precinct would be too memorable but it was in my top 3 food experiences of my 3 week holiday. Great food, warm beer, and bloody reasonable prices. Spewing it’s not local, otherwise it would be a weekly ritual. Well done.
Was there one week ago. Ordered fish & chips. It was really very good and well made. Staff was friendly. It's just it takes a while for food to arrive. It was suggested by a nearby hotel where I was staying.
Went there on thursday night and place was lovely and the food was good. staff were very friendly and were chatting with us and welcoming us to the UK. the place is far away as its near heathrow airport. we had dinner there after we arrived and it was suggested by one of my friends.for sure going back there again. thanks
A lovely little place right next to the hotel park inn in Heathrow, has got a limited but decent food menu .I always go there for a beer with friends after landing in London(I drink only coke though).it's easy on pocket and a nice place to spend an evening with friends.
Love this place! Always go here whenever I want a bite around Heathrow. A very cosy pub, right next to Heathrow and the Park Inn Hotel with Excellent Ambiance and music. The speed of the service could be better but the staff are always courteous and smiling. The food portions are large. Although a limited menu, the food tastes great and is very good value for money.
Descent place to hang out near heathrow. Have some pretty good food options and average to above average beers. Descently priced and good people.
Came here since it was nearest pub to conference center. Unfortunately both days didn't have pies. Some good selection of beers and cider. I did enjoy the ambient, even if the service was a bit slow at the desk taking orders.
This felt like a little hole-in-the-wall. We walked here from our hotel shortly after we landed in Heathrow for a late lunch. There were only a few customers in so we had virtually no wait for anything. You order at the bar and pick your own table. The staff are very nice. They were out of a few food items/drink mixers, but it was no problem as the alternatives available were still good.
We got the buffalo cauliflower to share (flavors are on point, texture was a little softer than you'd get in most places). I got the meat and ale pie with chips and an expresso martini. The hot water crust for the pie was perfect, crispy on the outside and flaky, with a soft inside. The meat filling was delicious, and the chips were great.
It was fairly stuffy inside, kind of humid. And I don't know if it was just our luck but we got a really wobbly table (though through our 9 day trip through London and Iceland, we never got a non-wobbly table haha!). The staff are very nice, also on the quieter side. The atmosphere is relaxed/calm -- a bit different from most other pubs. Overall a good place for a sit-down meal near the airport.
The food was really good although when we arrived we were told they were out of a lot of food so they had a limited menu. We were told they we’re almost out of fish and chips but we were able to get them right before they ran out. They give big portions and it was all very good. We also had the Katsu curry with rice and chips and the seafood duo (shrimp and salmon) with salad, baked potatoe, and beans. Last for dessert we ordered the caramel banana waffle!
Absolutely amazing food, great beer, great atmosphere. People are so friendly. If you go. Hurry and grab the first available table and steak it out even if it’s not clean yet. even with everyone there being completely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people everyone was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
Grateful this was a great choice within walking distance for our family. The meat pies, fish and chips (not pictured) were great and the kids enjoyed their kids meals. The portions were the perfect size.
Wow! The food was so good! I also loved the atmosphere and the lights. They didn't have fry sauce, ( an American thing) so I asked if I could get some catsup and mayonnaise to make my own dipping sauce for the fries/ chips. They brought everything out quickly!
The Three Magpie's was a complete delight. The authentic British Pub ambiance and incredible Sunday Pub Lamb Shank was more than I expected. Followed it up with some local pints, great conversation and many laughs. The service was fabulous. I highly recommend the Three Magpie's.
We are on our last day of traveling the country. We are in a hotel down the road and walked in to see the Magpies. 6pm, quiet setting, nice atmosphere, old school feel, music was pleasant, seating is inside or outside. Felt very comfortable, food and drink is good and well prepared.
I had a delicious Lamb shank , very tender with delicious sauce, I recommend this one with fries instead of mash potatoes.
Mi kids had beef pies very tasty, the ambience and the service was nice and friendly.
Classic pub. It has great atmosphere and is very comfortable. My wife and I had a pleasant dinner.
