Renae's Homestyle Restaurant & Wine Bar

It's a nice roomie spot. I like the ambiance which is incorporated into the prices. My waiter was nice and attentive. My only issue is my oxtails. For the price I don't need them to be too simmered to where there is some crunchiness. They need to be perfect. I also with that had a good peach tea. The lemonade I had was like a look and without being nice tangy and sweet. Like lemonade should be. I'd go back to try some other things, and catch one of those lounge moments going on.

The food here is amazing. Both times that we've dined here the staff is so very professional and courteous. The atmosphere is very quaint, welcoming and elegant. We met the owner and shook his hand, he is so kind and humble. It is our new favorite spot for date night, not to mention the live music and entertainment is off the chart, blossoming with energy and enthusiasm. Go and check it out...

Beyond 5 stars! I traveled from Dallas to visit family. Best friend suggested Renae's. It was the BEST Restaurant Choice by far! The prices were great, menu choices have something for everyone. The buffet offers the same (a little bit for everyone)! We ordered the chicken wings with brown rice, candied yams and fried okra! It took me back to the days of mom's cookin! It is home style but with the added flair of contemporary. The decor and aesthetics are quaint and welcoming! All in all You Must Go the Renae's!!!!! That will be my first and only stop every month I travel back to Houston! Six Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not from Houston but found this place online while visiting (I'm a sucker for a live band) and decided to try it. I must say, I have NEVERRRRR experienced better service EVER! The hospitality was absolutely amazing from the door being opened for me to the greeting upon entrance by the owner to my actual server (Jeremy). Even if I never tried the food I would be back based on the service alone! I ordered the smothered pork chops and it was delicious! I will refer this place to anyone I know! Thanks for a wonderful experience! It's not everyday that you get to experience something as such.
