The Abbey Pub

Went this past weekend. Was treated by an African American lady and her daughter and fiancee. She was a great bartender both her and her daughter. I didn't get food this time but I will next time. I had a good time though. Definitely going back just because of them. I told them I would give them a review, its definitely well deserved. Go see for yourself. Tell them Vince sent you!

I accidentally left my drink unattended at a The Abbey Pub on NYE 2021 Turned around to talk to someone that ended up being 5-10 minutes unwatched. He offered to test it, very sweet, but no thanks- I won't risk it. I asked the bartender for another, explaining I'd left it unattended, and she didn't charge me for the replacement! ❤️

The Abbey Pub is seriously our FAVORITE bar in the Houston area! They always have FANTASTIC bands (and no cover charge), their dance floor is really nice, and spacious, and they make the best drinks and charge less for them than other bars! Plus, the bartenders are super friendly, fast, and attentive, unlike many other places. In fact, every staff member is AWESOME - like Chris, the really cool bouncer, and Maggie, the wonderful bartender. We really appreciate too how they are always improving/upgrading the place, how they remember what we like to drink when we come in, and how they're always so happy to see us. It's like Cheers!

Five stars-- if you like smokey dive bars. Very diverse crowd with people of all ages and walks of life. Nice menu, with the kitchen open late. There was great live music by Sonic Seduction last Friday, who I hear plays there often. Say what you want about this place, but it was hard to look around and find someone who was not dancing, laughing, or otherwise enjoying themselves. Including the staff!
