Taqueria Armenta's

I came into the reopening of Armentas ( Now El Poblano) expecting to see the regular old menu and was disappointed to see that most of what I normally came to eat was gone. Cute little appetizers, some soups & traditional mexican platters. So I settled with the Steak Fries (Something I'd never seen on the menu before) and a bowl of the Black Bean Soup (also not previously on the menu). I was honestly ready to walk out after ordering due to my dissapointment with the lack of Horchata & Gorditas on the menu!!!! But I'm giving this place a shot, after all my Lemonade was fresh & so were the chips & salsa. After what seemed like a short wait (I was still working on the chips!!!)the food arrived &&& when I say my jaw dropped ( it did down low). The fries were loaded & the soup was HUGE!!! Everything was fresh. The topings were so decorative and generous. Flavor in every bite. It literally looks and tasted like Chef Ramsey came in, gentrified the place and left us with a small but flavorful menu. Omg very impressed & the waitress was so friendly. Family vibes all the way.
