We visited for a belated Valentine's meal, treating ourselves to the 7 course menu, and had a fantastic evening. Not just the clever, varied and tasty dishes - each with their own backstory - but the friendly and relaxed service over several hours, evident passion for doing something properly, and thoughtful details that make it a special evening like knowing who we were before we'd even mentioned our names. Excellent value too given the quality and decent portion sizes. Keep doing what you do!

A day time visit showed off this amazing gem of a restaurant at its very best. The welcome, service, ambiance but most of all the wonderful food were all superb. Dishes crafted with great skill were such a treat to enjoy with our close family members on a special occasion. Thanks to all the team for making our day a memorable one . Wendy

Had lunch here today to celebrate a birthday and it was amazing! Delicious local healthy food, beautifully served in a relaxed and happy place. Portion sizes were very generous and sufficient interesting choices. I just wish this special place could be replicated elsewhere! Highly recommend and many thanks.

This brunch spot was delicious! The restaurant is so intimate with beautiful natural light. I ordered the eggy bread with roasted plums and sweet walnuts, the flavours were unusual and complimented each other so well! The menu changes monthly but one friend asked in advance for something from a previous menu and they made it for her! Nice touch. Would love to go back for a special occasion.

I came to try the evening menu as I had heard good things about the place and the reviews weren't wrong. The food was fantastic, the surroundings were unique not like a bland chain and the service and hospitality I received was second to none. The owners really make you feel at home, they were courteous, welcoming and friendly. They made you feel like you had known them for years and you had gone round to a friend’s house for dinner. I would highly recommend anyone living in or visiting Brighton and Hove to visit Chard you won’t regret it.

What really like this place. Been here a few times and it's always been good. All the breakfasts I've had were great but my favourite has to be the eggs Florentine. I remember the sausages being very good too. Coffee is decent. I like the feel of the place. There a nice lil garden out back. The toilets are small but clean. Not parking as it's on a main road but not a bad location. Recommend.
